This 78-card tarot deck is a healing tool and guide to explore both the light and shadow sides of our nature. By reimagining the traditional tarot archetypes and symbols in a contemporary, boho, and intuitive style, The Light Seer's Tarot expresses the light and shadow sides of our natures and explores the lessons that can be learned from both. The expressive characters who live within the landscapes of the cards tell stories, ask questions, and provide guidance. This deck is an ideal companion as you seek to uncover the places in your life-and in yourself-that are most in need of illumination. Needs more Spreads
I’d like to be able to create my own spreads like some of the other digital tarot does and to type in my questions. Beautiful deck, though
So glad this is up as an app!
I’ve had and loved this deck for a few years, and I’ve always hoped it would to me out in app form- now it’s here, and I’m thrilled! Hay’s House standard format it as good as always, and I only have my usual two regrets: first, the app is limited to the card layouts that are given in the book that comes with the deck. No way to do a free form layout, or create a layout of your own is a bit limiting, if there’s few built-in spreads. Second, the app format doesn’t allow for much customization for the deck- I’ve got no way to designate my Light and Shadow cards. But these are things I expected, and can easily live with!
Pretty large card graphics functionality lacking
This app has lovely large card images of this beautiful deck. However the spreads offered are limited with no free spread. The spreads themselves aren’t spreads so much as you pick a number of cards from a scrolling line of cards with no option to shuffle and then those cards are shown in a line but only one at a time is viewed fully face on. No option to view cards in the actual spread view. It’s strange that they made it like that. For $10 it’s not worth that price. I have other tarot apps for less than 1/2 that price with much more functionality. Disappointing.
I love this deck
I have the actual deck at my house and I was excited to see this in the App Store. The one complaint I have is that there are so few options for spreads and we cannot make our own. I saw other complaints for the same thing. Please consider offering us more spreads and the option to make our own. That’s something FREE apps offer so this was very disappointing. :(
WWooOOoowww!
I originally purchased the cards on Amazon. I then found this app. Both are awesome purchases, so I didn’t mind spending the money. The cards, app, website, and journal are a complete package. They are all well designed, and complement each other. There is some overlap, but I see it more as completeness. The attention to detail is impeccable throughout. The artwork is beautiful. If I had to complain, then it would be that not all apps served it’s purpose this well. Thank you Chris-Anne!
My previous review disappeared.
One of the most beautiful, helpful and positive tarot decks ever! The app is just OK considering the high price. The cards are hard to browse. You have to go thru the whole deck every time to see a certain card. It would be nice to browse cards by suits. It would be nice if the cards could be made full screen. The number of spreads is very limited. The font is small, white and hard to read I have vision issues and even enlarging the system fonts doesn't work. Other tarot apps costing much less have all these features and more.
Love This Deck; App Could Be a Lot Better
This app doesn’t work in landscape view on an iPad. That makes no sense for me because I keep my iPad connected to a keyboard case or a cover that allows me to set it on a table or desk in landscape view. I don’t want to remove the iPad from the case just to use this app. I’d like to be able to see the whole spread at once. In other words, the cards should be laid out in the spread and then turned over, so you can see the whole reading at a glance, not just one card at a time. Moving through a reading is cumbersome, too much going back and forth, too many steps to get from looking at the card to seeing the text. I have many tarot apps. Those by The Fool’s Dog have pretty much all the functionality one would want in a tarot app. I think they set the standard. The app offers a 7-day free trial on my phone. As soon as. You activate the free trial—minutes after downloading—it changes to 6 days. The Good: It appears that the full text from the book is in the app, which is great. The deck is beautiful. The cards are beautiful—the artwork is stunning and inspiring. The text from the book is well written, thoughtful, and usually encouraging. The app works okay on my phone. The artwork looks great, the text is readable, etc. (I still wish you could see the layout of a reading at a glance and then choose the individual cards to read the text for each card.)
