We developed The Abbey App to provide such a place in our university community. The Abbey App has two main sections: Resources: Connect with God. The resources section is stocked with tools to help you develop spiritually in areas such as prayer, mediation, and reflection. In it, you will find resources for daily, weekly, and monthly cultivation in your relationship with God. Ministry: Connect with others. The ministry section provides ways to get involved in the Knoxville community. From weekly meetings to para-counseling trainings, this section will connect you with opportunities to build relationships. What I love most about the app is that the nature of the content is more than words to read. The images engage the senses and what you are reading invites you to participate through prayer, reflection and meditation. Perhaps if your prayer life feels stale or you’d love to grow in the much needed practices of meditation and reflection, this app is a wonderful introduction.
