Swerv only allows messaging when you are at the same physical location as another match, mainly to facilitate an in-person meeting. The goal is to get you to the right places so life can happen organically, not electronically.

While you are online in the platform, Swerv plots all the people who match with your preferences on a map (anonymously), providing you the knowledge to decide the best places to go for a higher chance of meeting them in person.

We’ve spent the past 8 years developing and testing Swerv to make sure it’s safe. There are many safety mechanisms built in to ensure you can’t be tracked. Your location isn’t updated in real-time, only every 5 minutes. Go online while you’re out, go offline any other time. Set privacy areas around any location and Swerv will hide you automatically. When you walk or get in a car, Swerv disables your location automatically until you reach your destination. Stay completely anonymous, or make your photos visible is you want to be recognized.
