Nightmares
I’m continually having to find my controller, reprogram the scenes, wait for water to boil before it opens and becomes functional. Pretty dismal in all respects.
$10k for this?!
I spent $10k on lights. $1,500 of that was just the controller and these are worse than $2k hue lights. DO NOT BUY THESE under any circumstances Now I need to try to navigate their return policy. God help me as I try to return these lights.
Slowest app ever, buyer beware
The interface is not well thought out, for example all the programs are named “program A”, “program B”, etc so it is hard to remember what each program is for. I would like to rename them (and the house to something other than “test”. Maybe I can, but the app itself is so slow I get to frustrated to find out. I wish more people could be informed before buying, I was sold on the features but would have looked more at competitive products if I knew how painful it would be to change any settings in this app, it is that slow. Hopefully the company will dedicate more money to app development in the future so I can change my review.
Slow, unresponsive, unreliable
The app takes forever to do any action. Simply logging in and waiting for it to load the controllers can take a few minutes. Loading the schedules? Another 2-3 minutes. Loading the themes? You guessed it…. That is if it ever connects!! I have had it spin for 10-15 minutes trying to load the themes only for it to time out. I constantly have to restart my routers to get them to connect and respond. And my controllers are hardwired.
The worst app ever
I’ve had it for a few years. Never gets better. I can no longer change colors at all.
Cloud is good, staying connected to Controller not so good
I had the first generation of the Luxor controller on my previous home from 2015. My new home (June 2022) has the Luxor Cloud, which I really like. I have much better control to my iPhone through my home network and my setting and accessibility is much easier now that you just need Internet to get to the cloud. My complaint, is the same one I had back in 2015. If you lose connection to your controller, you are outside at the Face Pack and unplugging Cat wire and then deleting the controller from the app and adding it back in. That means you need the serial number and must be at the Face Pack to see the 4-digit Code to complete your connection again. This happened after our neighborhood was without power for 1 1/2 hours because of a storm. I wish they could make this more reliable and also keep working on the GUI.
Update is awful
Was a slow app but since the update(2 weeks ago) it has kicked me off my access on the app to control my lights (rendering colors useless unless I go to the box) and even when manually inputting ip address it says we aren’t on same network! So frustrating!!!
