Never works!
Don’t understand how with the detailed and so much investment of money to have a smart house and Control ; throughout the house, we can never have this intercom (app) ever work! What’s the sense of all the money spent if the security intercom and video at our doors does not work? Have installed and reinstalled and worked with help desk. At this point just might as well get and install something else that will actually work.
Problem with IPhone 13
I recently switched my phone to the 13. The app worked fine on my iPhone 8 and works on my wife’s IPhone 12. It will not consistently connect to my 13. I have done all the iOS updates. It tries to connect and asks me to retry or cancel. If I power-cycle my phone off and then on again it connects perfectly but then later it will not. Called the dealer tech support and they told me it is a Control4 intercom app issue Can you fix this bug please!!!!

New bug: Intercom Anywhere App crashes on iOS 14.7.1, app version 1.14; crashes on both wifi and cellular/LTE. This makes it unusable for me. I have up to date 4sight and am on 3.2.2. It’s been a couple weeks and there has been no update or fix that I can find.

New version causes app crash when connecting to DoorStation and an old issue of poor connectivity has unfortunately returned with this version. Seems more bugs introduced versus fixed. So frustrating. Reinstalled and app continues to have crash issues. This is a hot mess and really hope Control4 addresses the issues and shortcomings soon. Update: appears the new app update has addressed the connectivity issues and we have not been able to replicate the connectivity issue since updating the app which is great. The app notifications mimicking the silent/ring of the phone is also a much needed change. There are still issues with the new interface - when you answer a call from the door station the person at the door knows because the icons at the DoorStation switch from ring to intercom. Also, it’s clunky on how you mute when answering the call at your phone, so you can see who is at the door before engaging them and how you switch from the “call” to the actual intercom interface... There are bugs answering a door station call in the iOS intercom anywhere app. Purchased a new iphone 12 pro and when I logged in to the new phone it created a duplicate profile in intercom anywhere. I was not able to successfully answer calls from the DoorStation and could not see the video feed. I came to find out that only dealers can resolve duplicate profiles and thought that could be the issue. Since they removed the duplicate / reset our intercom anywhere logins I am now able to successfully answer calls. Would be great to resolve all these persistent issues / bugs... When someone logs on from a different device or gets a new phone it duplicates the user and only way to remedy is through the dealer. This duplication needs to be fixed or add user control to edit/delete users. Hope to see more features added and issues addressed more frequently moving forward... Previous Review: Sitting in a business meeting with my phone on silent and all of the sudden someone’s phone is going off. I’m looking around at everyone wondering who could be so rude until I realized it was me! The Control4 door station app isn’t smart enough to realize that the phone is on silent, so I have to manually go in and out of the app to change?? Expect more from Control4 - It’s been months with no update to address the issue. There also appears to be a video streaming issue. I constantly get an intermittent signal quality prompt with no video while the same thing does not happen at the control station. Occurs on WiFi and cellular. This doesn’t occur when I view the door station via our NVR. Issues need to be fixed at these price points - really not acceptable. Better more seamless functionality are available with much cheaper products. Expect more from Control4.
