Not what I was hoping for
Poor app. If you don’t have a traditional square foot garden do not buy. Unable to modify garden shape. I have a U shaped square foot garden. This app is a waste of money for me. No harvest dates. Better off drawing up plans yourself and looking up companion plants on your own. Thought this would be good app if it had what it said it had with the ability to modify garden shape.

This isn’t easy to use. I’m not sure what the purpose is. The garden you build is in columns by rows, but doesn’t give you dimensions for the beds. Then the plants you chose are shown as per square foot. The beds I built in the app had 14 rows and they didn’t even fit on the screen, so it wasn’t very useful. It feels like the app is incomplete. Definitely not intuitive, and the instructions on how to select multiple squares at at time pops up every time you go to select a square. Very annoying! There is information missing on some of the plant descriptions. I really wish I hadn’t spent $3.99 on this.

Good for beginner square foot gardeners for planting and helping you to figure out what should go where. Some of the planting guides are just incorrect - two winter squash per square foot? Only if you don’t want a good yield! However, when I used this app a few years ago, it provided better functionality than the current version. I still can’t find the ‘days to harvest’ for anything, despite the directions provided from the app folks in response to the previous post. In earlier versions, I found that the time to harvest wasn’t very accurate, but it helped remind me when to START expecting harvests. Now it’s not useful for anything but tracking when I water or fertilize. Don’t waste your time or money, you’d be better off keeping a written notebook.

This used to be my go to app for my vegetable garden, but they changed something with an update since last year. It's great to plan your garden, but it used to tell you how many days you had left until it was time to harvest. This was a huge help to beginner gardeners like myself. Since they took that away, I took away 2 stars. Update- found where they have moved the the days until harvest. While it's not as easy as before it is now back to being my go to app and I've added the stars back.

DON'T PURCHASE! There are only 82 pre-loaded plants to choose from (most of them edibles) and the "Add New Plant" function doesn't work at all, which makes this app entirely useless. I'd like my $$ back please!

Wonderful app! Easy garden planning. You can add companion plants, tells you the pH requirements, water requirements and it's easy to add a vegetable or flower that is not already in the app.
