Our mission became a reality when the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB) asked Michael McManus a simple question. “How can we present the Catholic Church on television?” In March of 1998, a tradition was born when Bishop John Sherlock, the first Chair of the National Catholic Broadcasting Council (NCBC), celebrated Mass at St, Michael’s Cathedral and broadcasted it across Canada. Our purpose is clear... Pope Francis said that the Mass is the very mystery at the centre of our salvation. The National Catholic Broadcasting Council has been connecting the Catholic faithful together through the mystery that is the Daily TV Mass since 1988. With the assistance of the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB) and the leadership of the late Bishop John Sherlock, Michael McManus, our founding Executive Director, worked with a team of people to bring the Mass to TV each day reaching Catholics across Canada. With the invention of the internet the reach of the Daily TV Mass is now worldwide and our commitment remains to build the community of the faithful by keeping them connected. How Grateful I am
During the pandemic, it was heartbreaking to see our churches closed. We were locked out of Our Father’s home. It seemed like forever! Having the Daily TV Mass was a consolation for those of us who attended daily mass. For years, I didn’t have a car while visiting family in Arizona, but I did have the Daily TV Mass. This past year, as I have been dealing with anxiety and gave up driving to our church, I am so grateful to have the opportunity to start my day with the Daily TV Mass. I am especially grateful for the other resources on the app: Advent and Lenten Reflections. I feel like I know the priests, lectures and cantors. The Daily TV Mass is something I look forward to each morning. It lifts my spirit and calms my soul and prepares me for the days events. Over the years I feel I’ve come to know the priests, lectors, and choir members. They are like old friends. I can’t think of a better morning ritual.

I watch Sunday mass every week. I watch mass on holy days, pray the rosary with you and stations of the cross. What a beautiful way to begin everyday! The priests are always in my prayers along with the lay people. Thank you for televising such a wonderful mass.

Omg omg omg I cannot recommend this app enough I love it! I like the daily masses and I love listening to the daily lent messages they really hit home. This app also includes the rosary and a lot of other prayers! You are able to request prayers as well. Plus it’s free especially right now when times are rough. Thank you so much for this app. ❤️🙏🏼
