Nothing but problems- useless
Our Fire Department has multiple thermostats and roof commercial units for our fire station. The builder’s two year warranty is almost up and we still haven’t solved the heat/AC disparity throughout the station. So the HVAC contractor installed new thermostats (these Carriers). Not a solution at all; furthermore, the app is useless. I am the station officer and set up an account but cannot even log into the app. I have to go to the website and log in. The app said that the email and/or password is incorrect yet I use the exact same to log in to the website. Recommend avoiding.
Useless 100% trash
This is the worst “smart” thermostat all is good for is to tell you is time to change filter If I can give -⭐️ I would , also the ac unit gives 10 Yr warranty on parts within one year failed twice cost on part $0 but labor is not and labor cost was 550 on each visit so stay away from this brand
Not Good At All
We purchased 11 thermostats for our church facility. They have proven to be more of a headache than a positive. The app needs more manual control of networking. Many time, the app will not update fully to show the actually settings on the thermostats. We have already had to replace 3 of the original 11 thermostats. One melted due to “unknown” reasons, says the AC guy (covering his rear). I would not recommend this app or its thermostat. There are better working and cheaper options available.
Avoid.
This is beta software at best. Ridiculous really that they released this to the public... what the other reviewers said about connectivity is absolutely true.
Can not connect to the thermostat or find any tech support
I am unable to even get the setup on this thermostat to complete. The app does not allow manual configuration, which is needed since the network will not show up on this app. Worst part, not a single reference to this 2016 carrier thermostat model on their website. Nor tech support. Nor will the contact button on their main page allow me to send a message. All around frustration.
Waiting for Version 2.0
App doesn't work when adding more than one TSTAT to acct. WiFi direct connection automatically invokes Captive.Apple. portal. Its intent is to allow local SSID selection and Password entry for local WAN network. Due to the iPhone Internet connection being taken over by Direct Connection to the stats SSID and ip settings; the selection screen passes right by and the app itself cannot login due to no internet connection.
