Aqara Home is an app for smart home automation and control. With Aqara Home, you can: 1. control Aqara accessories anywhere and anytime where there is Internet access; 2. create homes and rooms and assign accessories to the rooms; 3. control your Aqara accessories and check the status of connected appliances. For example: *adjust the brightness of lights and check the power consumption of home appliances; *monitor the temperature, humidity and air pressure; *detect water leak, and human movement; 4. create Automations to automate your home. For example: *set a timer to turn on or off an appliance connected to a smart plug; *use a Door and Window Sensor to trigger lights: turn on lights automatically when the door opens; 5. create Scenes to control multiple accessories. For example, add a Scene to turn on multiple lights and fans; 6. ask Siri to control HomeKit supported Aqara accessories and user defined Scenes; Aqara Home app supports following Aqara accessories: Aqara Hub, Smart Plug, Wireless Remote Switch, LED Light Bulb, Door and Window Sensor, Motion Sensor, Temperature and Humidity Sensor, Vibration Sensor, and Water Leak Sensor. I support Aqara but the app is awful
I’ve bought and will keep buying Aqara products; but the app is terrible. They need to fix several issues which include: only being able to use If/Then commands in the automations, as opposed to If/And/Or/Then commands. Also, when using the sensors, the “open”, “close“ and the “is open”, “is closed” settings are exactly the same (and there is no setting for when all the sensors are closed to begin with). I hope they fix these issues in a future update because I think their products are overall really good.
Unfriendly interface
Getting these devices and app talking has been a most frustrating thing. I’m wondering if all the recent reviews hailing these devices as amazing might be overselling.
Alexa Skill needs work - automation don’t work
The developer needs to invest time and effort to enhance their Alexa integration, as the current Alexa skill has a low rating of 1.8 stars. This is concerning because users want to use the Aqara skill for automation with Alexa. When the sensors malfunction due to poorly written and maintained software, it discourages people from purchasing more of their products in the future. Please improve your software.
Garbage. Doesn’t work.
Don’t bother.
Alarm notifications no longer send
If an alarm goes off I must reset device to clear alarm, notifications no longer show.
Aqara app
Haven’t had any problems with the app at all. All my Aqara devices added first time.
HomeKit issues navigation mess
Thankful that a few other Aqara users on YouTube have been down the trouble paths. First. REALLY confusing adding a E1 camera to HomeKit and the Aqara app. It's a 2 step process to add, in that order, or, it doesn't work. Then there's menu navigation confusion. Good luck finding something.
