Works great and has everything I need
The app works well and tells me in advance when classes are, the hours of my selected YMCA, and other important online information. I never used the old app so I don’t have much to compare it against but this one works well for the average user. I know people on here complain about not being able to sync it with other fitness apps, but y'all got like 20 of those apps so it’s not important to have it here. Just be grateful the app works and, others have complained about bugs but I haven’t encountered any (yet).

The schedule feature of the app is very frustrating. It’s not really an ‘app’ - it is a mobile version of a website. The YMCA Universal app was much easier to use.
One job, won’t do it
I’m not much for writing reviews, but this app is worse than the infamous AT&T app. The only thing we used the YMCA app for was for the barcode, to skip typing in our account number to be allowed to use the gym we pay for. Now this app (that could be replaced with a photo) can’t even do that. I miss the local gym they put out of business. It was 24/7 (twice the open hours for half the price!) and I could get in with an RFID tag. When I move it will not include a Y membership.
Not very useful
The app is not nearly as useful or friendly as the old app. It’s difficult to find information as well as keep track of what I’ve done. Keeps logging me out.
Review
This app is terrible it is helpful to find exercise schedules at the different y’s. This app does not and it is a waste of space on my iPhone
Needs bugs fixed
Sometimes the schedules for exercise classes won’t fully load for the day you are viewing and you have to click on another day and click back several times to view the entire days schedule. It also doesn’t save any filters you set when viewing exercise schedules so you have to reset them every time, very annoying. Otherwise the app is fine.
No features to make it even worth it really.
It doesn’t show any classes held at the center on the calendar. It doesn’t sync with the center at all. It has videos and a log you manually enter: Type: Running, Badminton, Yoga, etc.. Duration: Enter time Distance: Enter distance if applicable. Honestly, my notes app can do this. I’m not sure about other YMCA’s but mine doesn't like you on your phone in the gym & I have no equipment at home, so it’s pointless really. Maybe others will be able to find use in the videos because that’s all it has going for it.
This is the one about schedules (if your Association participates)
