Willow's protocols use custom variables called qualities and actions. Qualities describe the things you want to improve and actions are the daily routines that help make it happen. The protocol page is where you can view and edit the details of your protocol. You can also check recent inputs and log qualities and actions on-demand if you miss a notification. The insights page visualizes how you’re doing with progress charts and rankings of which actions you do most versus which have the best impact on qualities. You can also add notes or check back here for ideas on ways to iterate your protocol for better results. The calendar page shows a heatmap of performance and history of logs which include daily score summaries and your notes. This helps you see when to keep up momentum if doing well or make adjustments if falling off track. You can share your protocols, ideas, and insights on the community page to get and give feedback about how to keep solving problems and improve together.

Helpful for understanding my behavior
Willow has been really useful in monitoring what I’m doing and seeing my progress. The charts is useful in visualizing the things I’m tracking (mood happiness productivity energy) . I’ve used lots of habit tracker apps but they don’t really show the impact of my habits. I think this is why I like willow more
More than just tracking your habits
Using this app has helped me organize my goals and my habits. Having a checklist of daily objectives has helped me feel more control over my life. But the insight I get back from Willow in the form of metrics and graphs has helped me better understand what I’m doing and why. Before, I had so much data programmed into the habit tracking apps I used. Willow seems to be more than just another tracker. It’s a tool to make use of all the behavioral data I collect and it gives me a sense of what I should be doing with my time to help me the most. My mental health and general well-being have improved since I started using Willow. It’s worth trying.

You can program any daily regimen into this thing and get nice visualizations of how you’re doing. Good what to find out what’s working and what’s not as far as lifestyle improvement (mood, sleep, energy, etc). Can also track weight or any other metric you’d really want to. It’s a simple framework but pretty powerful if you set up a good protocol. Looking forward to see where it goes.
