The Williams Pace Calculator © App is the latest digital version of the road and track running pace calculator that Bill Bowerman, the legendary coach and NIKE co-founder, used for training world-class runners at the University of Oregon and for the Olympic Games. His renowned ‘Men of Oregon’ athletes broke performance barriers, winning a total of 4 NCAA Team Championships and 24 NCAA individual titles. Now Bob Williams, one of the Bowerman protégé, brings you the know-how of pace calculation to you!
Planning Paces for Workouts
I have been using the Williams slide calculator for over 25 years and it has helped me tremendously in making split times for my athletes. In the last couple of months, I purchased the app on my phone and it has made my life more efficient, as I screen shot the paces and forward it to my athletes before practice. My coaching staff and athletes love it!! As the Head Coach of over 170 athletes at Canyon High School in Canyon Country, Ca. I need efficiency especially with my distance crew of over 60 runners!!
Great tool
I use this every time my daughter or I have a workout and I want to know the correct pace to run. Very useful.
GREAT tool, poor app
I have the old-school slide tool and LOVE it! I was going to order a new one for a friend and discovered the app and immediately bought it. Once I scroll down, I can’t scroll back up to the top. This will be a GREAT app once the bugs are fixed!
Simple Track and Road calculations.
This is the app you are looking for in the event you lost or worn out the slide rule version of Coach Bob Williams great tool!
Glad to see this back
I used Mr. William’s Pace Calculator years ago when it was made of hard paper. This electronic version is a must have for anyone wanting to enjoy their running.
Classic
My high school coach had the physical version of this app in high school. I am so happy to have it as an app now that I’m coaching. I like that I can use it during both track & field and cross-country seasons.
The Williams Pace Caculator
I have one in every car, one on my desk at work, one at home and now one on my phone. I don’t know how anyone can coach without this tool.
