Will not connect
It’s too bad that this won’t connect to the app. It connects to my phone just not to the app. The watch itself is nice looking but I’m disappointed . I wish there was a fix for it.

I bought this watch 3 months ago cause, i don’t like the style of fitness watches . I liked the style and that it supports some activity tracking. Even though i bought it for style and not its other features, i am disappointed that the app that is supposed to keep track of my activity doesn’t work. I don’t know if its my watch or the app but, every time i try to sync, it goes halfway and the connection drops. I have tried many times and it’s the same every time. Final verdict, don’t go for these kind of hybrid watches. If you want a regular looking watch you are better off with buying something with out this kind of technology altogether.

It started out fine then all of a sudden it refuses to sync with my iPhone. It begins the process and after a short time it stops. Have tried reinstalling and no change. It basically only tracks steps so now it’s a watch and nothing more. It wasn’t very expensive so I am not out a lot of money but I would think twice before I buy a Timex smart watch again.

After losing my Timex Expedition to the ocean when the strap let loose while on my vacation, I broke out my brand new Timex Datalink watch from storage when I got home. The included instructions weren’t very descriptive, but I was able to figure out most of the features. I then downloaded the Timex app, and thought that I’d be the one whose watch actually worked/synced with the built-in Bluetooth, but sadly, I’m among those whose watch doesn’t fully function, too. I’m using an Apple iPhone 8 with the most recent update. After trying numerous times for my watch to sync with my phone, it kept failing. I finally gave up and succumbed to the fact that my watch wouldn’t work the way it was intended to work. NOW, fast forward a month. The battery finally died, so I got a new one. I decided to fire up the app again and try syncing my watch one more time. Guess what?!? IT WORKED!!! Perhaps the developers should mention that it in their app that if a watch isn’t syncing, a new/fresh battery should be used. ———- Update: February 23, 2021 I’ve been using my watch as normal now for well over a year. The battery has been replaced again, but I am okay with replacing the battery because I see the other members of my household continuously recharge their fitness watches every three days or so—what a hassle! And then they eventually forget about it and stop using their watches altogether. (I rely on my watch for all the normal reasons for having/using a watch.) Anyway, I’ve lowered my rating from five stars to four stars now because every time I sync my watch, the app needs to re-register my watch. All of my previous steps/workouts/etc. get deleted and show nothing. At first, I thought that it was because I was syncing more than a week apart, so I made it a point to sync twice a week. It doesn’t matter! All of my steps/workouts still show zero. As of my writing this review, no new updates have been available. I see others with this same problem.

Since the latest IOS this month, this App no longer syncs. Why bother with the more expensive Bluetooth Ironman watch if it won’t sync to capture the data? SMH Timex ...
