You are advised to consult with a physician before using Proov. Tired of reading lines, The Proov app quantifies and logs two key fertility hormones, LH and PdG. Tracking both hormones allows you to find your two most fertile days and confirms if ovulation quality is high, both essential to getting pregnant fast. The app guides you through the Proov protocol, a 3 step process that provides actionable insights each cycle. Step 1 - Establish your baseline. After your period ends, you'll take a PdG baseline test. This will help you know what your unique negative looks like, and you’ll refer to it later in your cycle. You’ll only need a baseline test once every 6 cycles. Step 2 - Track peak fertility with Proov LH Tests. 18 days before your next anticipated period, you’ll test once or twice each day until you see a positive result, which indicates a surge in your LH levels. This means ovulation is about to occur, which is the best time to try to make a baby! Step 3 - “Proov” ovulation quality with PdG Tests. On days 7, 8, 9, and 10 following your positive LH Test result, you’ll take the remaining four PdG Tests in your kit. Proov Tests are categorized as medical devices, have been registered in US FDA, and certified by CE for self-testing. For users outside these regulatory territories, please consult with your doctors. Not user friendly. Does not work efficiently.
I constantly have problems trying to log anything. When I try to manually enter a cycle or peak days it changes everything and creates one longer cycle instead of actually entering the correct information. It’s pretty much useless.
App needs work for entering tests and dates
I’ve used this app for multiple cycles. You enter your “average” period length but can’t actually adjust the specific days for that cycle without changing the “average“ length until after the fact which is strange-it would be much easier for the daily questions that pop up to include if you had your period on this day yes or no to allow the user to update in real time. The app will not let you upload a test unless it thinks you are supposed to take one on that day. That is super annoying because if you take a test a day early or take a baseline on a different day than they expect you can’t upload it. For example, I am having ovulation checked by my fertility clinic. I wanted to use a strip the same day I had bloodwork to confirm that I had ovulated to see what the strip said, but I was not able to. I set my peak date manually, and there is no way to remove the date setting without changing the date. So once you have set a peak date, you cannot turn it off. I tried to change the peak date so that I could upload my test six days after peak instead of seven, but I still can’t enter anything. This app has a lot of promise but needs to make it easier for users to use. If you want people to only take tests on a certain day, then pop up a warning or something to let them know it’s not the right time. You will sell more strips if people take more tests on more days.
So frustrating!
This is my first time reviewing an app ever! And is because is so bad, I don’t understand how it works. I try to follow the steps, watching YouTube videos and nothing. I don’t recommend this product.
Garbage
Not impressed. The app said my test was positive but when I emailed the company they said it was negative and the app wasn’t accurate. What?! So why even have an app that claims to predict positive and negative tests if it doesn’t even work? The concept of this product is good, but they went to market way too soon. The product and the app are not user friendly.
App is not very user friendly
I have used lots of different cycle tracking apps and this one by far is the hardest to use. I can not put in tests from past dates or change my length of my period. I can not see a month view as a whole. The test strips are confusing as well. I really want to love this product... I have been TTC for 5 years and utilize a lot of different aps to help me out. I hope it gets better the more research they do and the more they listen to comments.
Updated app is so much better
I’ve been using Proov for a few years. The most recent updates are so great. Love the ability to see actual hormone levels and determine if my ovulation quality is good. Thanks Proov for making your app more user friendly.
Not reliable
While the camera works fine for me and it reads the tests fine, it doesn’t seem to do so consistently. I took a photo of one test 4 times and got wildly different responses, including having it go from very low and negative to a positive result. It has also not been reliable with other tests although with less variability (1-3 points). So I’m not sure how to interpret results.
