Love the workouts but not the app.
The classes and community are great, but the app is incredibly glitchy and unreliable.

I’m glad that I’m trying out a month of pure barre. It’s been around since 2001 and I never thought of taking classes until C.C. Suggested it after I took her free class in Darien. Westport is a wonderful studio and the breeze from Long Island sound is amazing.

It makes me sign in each time which is cumbersome when you're trying to sign up on phone I thought app would immediately open up and let u choose a class without using a password every time

The app never works and the people can’t ever figure out how to make it work. Downloaded and redownloaded multiple times. Had to speak with representatives multiple times and still could not book classes online and would not recognize my monthly unlimited membership. I finally gave up because I can’t always call on the phone and book a class. Eventually stopped going to pure barre altogether. Not nice people and extremely obnoxious even after freezing my account.

I will probably leave another review in a few months, but so far, I am 2 classes in and this is no joke. I have barely any muscle after two years of little athletic activity. I realize how out-of-shape that I am in, and I want to cry. It BURNS, it shakes, and I am SUPER sore after each class. HOWEVER… The owner, receptionist, and all the class instructors are absolutely AMAZING and have been soooo encouraging to me, that I feel motivated to keep going. I’m brand new, yet they all know me by my name and are SO UPLIFTING!!! I signed up for the long haul because of THEM and can’t wait to see the progress (and for it to get easier within time). Thank you, Pure Barre Knox for being so wonderful, and most of all, so MOTIVATING!

I feel challenged and productive in the short-time I’ve been going to Pure Barre. The instructors are great and help with proper form, etc. and offer the perfect balance of support and challenge. So glad I started!

Would not recommend for beginners - too many movements, hard to follow, no room for individual attention until you figure things out - wish I hadn’t signed up and now stuck paying for 3 months I probably won’t use
