Best yoga app!
What a fantastic yoga app! It's so relaxing while also challenging. I find it a great way to practice at home. It also has a cool list of poses which is great when you're trying to learn something new.
Excellent At-home Yoga App
The yoga routines and instruction in this app are wonderful. You get a full workout whether you are a beginner or experienced. I would highly recommend it for use at home or on the go.
So white
The colonization of yoga is so, so, so heartbreaking. Why is the woman white? Why are a majority of the "Best Teachers" white? What is this if not grand larceny? Yoga was created by Brown people. Why has Pocket Yoga erased this history, while profiting so greatly? Centering Black faces is THE LEAST a company build around Brown labor can do in exchange FOR THE ENTIRE PRACTICE OF YOGA. Oof. How don't yall understand? My Brown heart aches yet again.
Gets the job done
I have attended a handful of in-person yoga classes and I purchased this app years ago to have a resource to access when I was on the go or didn't feel like going to a physical class. Given the current state of the world, I am so glad that I have this as an option! As other reviews have stated, the images shown don't depict how one flows from one pose to the other; however, having taken some yoga classes, I found I was able to create my own flow. I like how you can view a detailed description of what the class will entail and you can look up poses prior to beginning if there are any new or unfamiliar ones.
Wish it could sync with the apps on the iPhone!
I've been using Pocket Yoga and Yoga teacher on my phone for years. I have made a few of my own practices, and was hoping I could sync with my Mac without having to spend another $5 on the yoga teacher app for Macs. Other than that, the practices are a good workout, if not all a little similar. Please consider syncing in a future update!
TERRIBLE! Don't Download
Not sure why Apple suggests this app, but it is terrible. It goes SO fast. You can't even get in position that the teacher already moved onto the next one. This is anything but Yoga. Go for an alternative.
Works great on macOS
a really great itteration from iOS! Look forward to seeing Spotify intergration soon hopefully!
