DAILY FOOD TRACKER: Use this feature to track and review your daily/weekly usage. A food or drink item and its number value can be added manually, selected from a user-defined food list, by scanning barcodes, or using our voice recognition technology and adding them automatically. The goal of this page is to provide an easy-to-use, efficient method for monitoring food consumption, ensuring the user remains within the bounds of their daily and weekly limits. ACTIVITY TRACKER: This feature turns exercise into consumable daily or weekly values. Input your current weight, duration, and workout intensity to calculate the number value of your exercise. The resulting totals will appear in a table viewable on this page and automatically added to your daily or weekly limit. We are currently working on integrating the ability to connect to external exercise data (ie. Fitbit) as well. FOOD CALCULATOR: Depending on the system that a user chooses upon registration, a calculator feature will be available to them. On this page, one can choose to enter the nutriment values of their food or drink item manually or scan the barcode of that item to determine its value. Once saved, this item is automatically added to your custom food list on the food tracker page. WEIGHT LOG: This page can be used to log your weight each day to monitor overall and per diem weight loss progress over time.
False information
App info says you can scan food barcodes…this is not true you have to download and pay for another app. On their app you have to enter all the individual info from the label…not the ease of a food scanner!!
Review
The site is easy to use
Liked old app better…
I’ve had success with WW (tracking in older version of app) in past and wanted to count points again. The old app worked well but wasn’t able to download the one I had. So I paid for this one (icon looks exactly like old app). Price was reasonable but it seems to me there are LESS features than there were before-for instance, I’m pretty sure there was an option to do 1/2 portions of items already in custom list. Also it’s seems there’s no way to delete entries from custom list. And also no database to search? voice search is added feature, but I also liked to be able to see options in database-pretty sure they had they had this in earlier version. And a way to connect to my Apple Watch would be nice as well. There’s another app I found that tracks points (unfortunately, after I purchased this one again) that seems to have much more features.
Not calculating correctly
Update: for the developer to say “you are wrong” is unhelpful to customers trying to use the app. **** When I enter numbers in the food calculator there isn’t a spot to add in sugars, so the points are calculated wrong. Also, it’s totaling my daily points incorrectly. The app developer’s website shows a different amount of daily points versus what is calculated in the app. 29 points versus 59 points is a huge difference!
Don’t buy yet
This is not an efficient app. Not well thought thru from a user pov. I’d ask for my money back if I didn’t think getting it back would be far harder than the $1.99 is worth…so good for them for making $1.99. Not good deleting or editing options for scanned items in ur custom lists. The ability to scan barcodes is nice but I’ve had a number of skus that the app didn’t have in its database…be aware. Doesn’t explain things well…like the colored food lists… Doesn’t currently have a faq section.
The old app.
I liked the old version of this app. I don’t like that to access the different charts you now have to pay a monthly fee. I have used it in the past and lost the weight which was great! To get it to work now, I had to delete the old app and pay again for it. Which, that part I didn’t really mind. Oh well. 🙃
