This app’s AI is so sharp it will require 3 or 4 versions of the same video of you taking your kid’s temperature before it approves one. Seems completely arbitrary the way this thing works. It’s also very sensitive to lighting, etc, and if required for your kid will get confused if you yourself are also in the video as you try to wrangle them for daycare.

The app is… fine. But the thing about asymptotic sicknesses is that there’s no symptoms, including fever. So, I guess I hope someone feels better about this, because otherwise it’s just an every-morning pain in the butt that won’t actually stop sicknesses from spreading.

I was put in charge of finding a temperature reading app and let me tell you, there are a lot of options! I liked fever free because they verify it, i think with AI or something techy like that. we were concerned about people lying about their temp or it not working, but i even tried faking a temperature reading and this app was not having it! Anyone who works with kids knows we need an app like this that keeps people honest. I recommend Fever Free to schools and other organizations.

Did calls and demos with so many other apps for health checks for our school and this was the only one that allowed whole families to do health checks (even the parents and siblings who aren’t at the school), let us do the health checks from home so the kids aren’t coming to school sick, and that gives everyone the privacy they want because no one ever sees their health check submission thanks to the AI technology that verifies everything.
