Superb design, even better music
As a user of brain.fm for over a year now (and still a lover of that product), I can confidently say Endel has bested them. Their design is too good to beat.

My wife and I have grown, albeit only gradually, to depend on Endel in the background when we sleep at night. MANY other apps offer sleep-facilitating sounds and we tried a number of them. However, we kept coming back to Endel. I've been slower to warm to other soundscapes, but have gradually started to use Autoplay.

I cannot begin to say how much this app has enriched my life! I have it playing near constantly. In my car, on my phone, on my laptop at work. I also sleep literally every night to one of the "Sleep" sequences. This app becomes more interesting and immersive the longer you listen and I'm thrilled to have found it a few years back. It's worth its weight in gold and I've shared it to many freinds who've fallen in love with it also. Besides personal use, It's great for background sonds when you are anxious, or when you are having company and want to have something playing but don't want the distraction of lyrics or someone not liking a certain genre of music. My only frustration is the lack of app updates and development for IOS, I have to use my iphone to play through the speakers on my macbook at work since the desktop version is so outdated and apparently not being revived. But customers LOVE it and notice when it's not playing. Thank you Endel, keep it coming! <3

Very great tool for focus. However, it seems a little counter intuitive for app devlopers supposedly concerned with providing a product to help with focus, integrating new features to help with focus on IOS. If you struggle with task managment and rely on this app to help focus, you may find yourself wanting to reach four tools from the IOS app that are not present on the macos app.

I should look it up before I make a comment but I'm gonna guess some of this is a pure Ai composition. I'm coming to that conclusion because I don't think human musicians would create the Focus track, which is the default track for me. The chords are *almost* harmonic but there's always this one discordant note underneath it all, repeating again and again and again ad nauseum. I try reframing the soundscape and it always come back. It sounds like it was written by a robot, not something with human ears or knowledge of making music. I like the James Blake Wind Down track, and Sleep is fine. Good idea, but not so great execution.

I've been an Endel 'member' (I say this becuase you don't really own the app unless you make the Lifetime purchase -- I'm considering just doing so) for 3 years and can honestly say that it's been worth the investment. I just wish I used it more and took better advantage of all its features... There are scads of soundscape apps with lofty claims about better sleep and focus... this is the only one that really works -- and it does so on all fronts. It's brilliant, beautifully designed and was thoughtfully conceived: I truly believe that the developers wanted to help people when they made it. You will too. It's 100% worth the money and works without a hitch on my iPhone, Apple Watch and MacBook Pro. Simply put: indespensible.
