Great Way to shift into Work
I’ve been struggling with motivation issues for a while now. Just not really feeling any reason to do my work and then dealing with the consequences of work piling up. I’ll often stare at my screen for far too long to avoid this work, cause it seems so daunting. So rather than looking for an escape by endlessly scrolling, I’ve been using this app to get off my butt and start doing those assignments. I can “do nothing,” think about/picture myself doing the assignments, and then feel ready to head outside my dorm room and start working. The simple background (just a little face with some nose hairs, maybe some cloudy doodles) makes it easy to think to yourself, and the calendar is a pretty good way of keeping yourself accountable (although I haven’t used it much, besides when it pops up after a do nothing session). The twinkling sound effects of fully grown nose hairs is a bit obnoxious, but there are settings to reduce the sfx volume + a low power mode that removes all distractions, so it’s not that bad.
