This is the perfect indoor cycling companion! Choose from a selection of training programs, there's one for you whether you're looking forward to improve your maximum oxygen consumption or you just want to have fun. During your training, when it's time to change the intensity, a visual and audio cue will let you know. The application also takes care of changing the music to fit the evolution of your training program. Quieter songs for warm up, then power songs for the sprints? You decide. You can match each level of intensity with a playlist or a song from your music library. The training screen displays the time left in the program and the time left in the current section. You can change it so it displays the elapsed time instead. The playing song is also displayed; touch it if you want to skip to the next song. Touching the section name enables you to skip the section. Touching the intensity graph will reveal the next three sections. Additionally: - Optimized for retina display - Airplay support - Compatible with iPhone and iPad
Not good, but possibly not the worst
This app is good for someone who just needs a little motivation to continue spinning. Main glitches: If the phone goes into battery save mode and turns the screen off, the program actually closes as well.....except the music will keep playing. When you're ready to pause/abort the program, the music won't turn off. Not the worst app but I'm sampling others.
Good in a pinch... But....
I'm training for an 80mile ride soon and I need to get miles in when I can. After downloading a few apps that didn't do what I needed I found this one. I should have done a little more research before my ride cause I was not aware of a couple of things. The major thing was the "play section cues" (which tells you when to change intensity) does not work on the lock screen so I found myself checking my phone constantly and throwing my rhythm off. I did notice after the fact that this could be fixed via the "prevent screen lock" setting but I don't want to drain my battery. Time for the positives: clean Ui, very simple to use and understand. Ability to AirPlay is tight and may solve the interval timing problem if I move my trainer indoors. Overall good app!
Love this app
Exactly what I was looking for. Music can be turned off if you watch tv while spinning, so you just hear the bell and the voice telling you what intensity.
Good app
Overall a good app. Pretty basic interval stuff but it works, it's free, and one can use for other cardio besides spin.
Motivating
Got a great workout! Keeps you from getting bored!
50 minutes and I sweat just fine!
Just bought a stationary stand to pop in my outdoor bicycle so I can sort of spin at home when I cannot get out. ( With 3 young kids it's not always easy to leave them for an hour to workout.) I set up my bike in the garage while my kids were playing in the yard. I found this free app to test out with my new rig. It is very basic but it did the trick and I enjoyed myself. It took all my music stored in my iPhone that i had previously purchased, and timed the song with the intensity level. A 50 minute preset workout included some high medium and low intensities, along with a cool down. At the beginning of each new level, a little bell rings and then a voice announces the kind of intensity to do. If you are looking at the screen it tells you how many minutes for each section. I know the program has even more options but for what I want, which is an hour of cardio to music I like, it was perfectly fine and easy.
Now I don't have to wait for class
Love this app used it twice so far got a good workout both times. Now when I miss spin class I can still get a good bike workout. I might just upgrade to full version in the future.
- Resolved an issue with the selection of intensities. - Other minor improvements.
