Chill is a minimalistic background noise generator that will help you relax, sleep or concentrate by blocking out background noises with soothing sounds. *** User Reviews *** "I've tried other types of apps for but this is the ONLY one that I found that sounds realistic and does not have obvious repeating 'LOOPS'. Thank you for the extra care in building your sounds. Great purchase!" "It does what it says it'll do, and well. It is not at all cheesy, doesn't sound fake, doesn't obviously repeat. You can get lost in the sounds without getting caught up on patterns or flaws." "I literally can't do work without it now since downloading it. I turn it on and use it all day with the rainforest being my favorite. Superior product, great price and my stress level is reduced by the great white noise it produces. Price is definitely worth the therapy! :)" *** Features *** * A wide variety of sounds, including Airplane, Beach, City, Crickets, Fan, Fire, Ocean, Pier, Rain, Rainforest, River, Shower, Thunderstorm, Wind Chimes, Wind and other synthetically generated noises. * Sleep timer, which will stop playback after a specific amount of time * Won't clutter up your workspace. Perfect, easy-to-use app
This is the minimalist white noise app I've wanted for years. Works flawlessly. Thanks!
GREAT! but
If it simply loaded it’s list of sounds from it’s directory… well, from a user directory we could put in some of our own sound recordings. Since there is no volume control this would allow a work around solution. A few sounds I like I can notice the loop and would like longer ones which I’ve not got around to making since I can sitll easily replace the sounds (I assume length is not hard coded.) Sounds I’d like to have or make myself: a cat purring (it’s proven to be soothing) wetland night sounds small lake shoreline big lake shoreline wind in the woods Crickets at a park (without slight distant sound of a car) ducks at a pond maybe… some farm sounds and finally something like : Marconi Union’s “Weightless” i bet somebody has a formula for it...
Can hear the crossfade when sounds loops
I love the simpliciy, but it would be great to make the crossfades inaudible when the sound loops back to the beginning. That is a bit of a distraction that takes away from the “background noise” effect.
Close to perfect
I love this app. One suggestion would be to have an “about Chill option in the menu. I can never remember the name of this app when people ask about it. You might even want to have some kind of “spread the word” option. One other thing: I could swear I hear talking behind some of the sounds, but it might just be that I need to up my meds.
Simple, effective, does what it says on the tin
Very effective app: simple interface, well-recorded sounds, no surprises. Bonus points for having included five forms of generated noise (white, brown, etc.).
Great app with quality selection of sounds
I’ve been using Chill for a while and am very pleased with it. The features are simple and laid out well. The sounds are extremely high quality. One of my daily go to apps whenever I need to relax or focus.
Good! But add a few more features!
I agree with most everyone here on a few of the additional features to be added, but I would really love to see sound oscillation as an option!
