if your in the printing business do not get this
if you are in the printing business do not get this. The software jumbles the type-up on all your documents in InDesign and illustrator. Does not load the fonts correctly DO NOT BUY
Allowed me to hide most sytem fonts
There are hundreds of system fonts that I will NEVER use and this was the only way that I was able to deactivate them in Ventura. I was able to hide almost all of the Noto Sans fonts and dozens more. Now my font dropdown in Affinity Designer and other applications is usable again. You can't hide all of them, but you can hide most of them.
SUBSCRIPTION
Says it's a one time fee, but that is not true. It's now unusable unless I "upgrade" my license. When it works, it worked well for me.

Minor bugs, fast and simple, latest version is pricey
Updated info (original review below.) RightFont seems to have silently changed its pricing scheme. Now requires an annual fee of $60 in order to get updates and avoid unsupported versions. That seems high for this type of software. I believe that's even more than Extensis extorts its users. And to be clear, I've used these font managers for over two decades and practically speaking the only thing that updates in the software is the plugins that allow for auto-activation of fonts in the latest Adobe apps, and even that is not reliable (with Extensis versions, in my experience.) Short version: This is not bad software and has gotten a bit more stable on my machines, but is not pricey enough that I've switched to a combo of Font Book Adobe CC font manager, and am testing Typeface 3. - - - Original review: Tested it for a couple weeks and though it had some bugs we decided to use it for our small office of designers. Then larger bugs appeared. First, shared libraries: Didn't work for large libraries shared on the cloud (Dropbox). It failed to update, failed to preview, failed to activate fonts for individuals. I'd see about 10% of the fonts that should have been accessible. We tried trashing the cache, rebuilding the font libraries (many times), reinstalling the app, etc... No luck. Works fine for local, personal libraries, though. Other problems were relatively minor: Some lag after installing more than a few thousand fonts. We're still using RightFont for our group, though. It's as good as Suitcase from what we've seen. Auto-activation is a little bumpy, but that's no worse than Suitcase has always been. And RightFont is a great value. Hopefully they'll keep growing.
finally able to disable most system fonts
even though a few are still locked for some reason, this app allowed me to disable a massive number of totally unused system fonts, now my design apps sped up multiple times previewing the font list. thanks for the app
Works SOOOOO much better and faster since the last updates!
When I first downloaded it over a year ago it ran kind of sluggish and seemed to crash when reading certain font folders. Now with the latest updates and bug ffixes, that is all gone and it just works. It can read any folder it imports and does not actually activate the fonts until you tell it to. So I can see all my fonts just like looking at a typeface book. This is a graphic designer's MUST-HAVE utility. Awesome!
- Fixed the crash issue when previewing a large number of fonts on some old iMacs
