Although Pixelmator Classic will continue receiving occasional updates, it is no longer in active development and Pixelmator Pro is our latest and greatest Mac image editor. Annoying!
I have purchase this app in April of 2014. And now I am rating this app one star. Not because the app is bad but because in the latest update you have decided to annoy people with the constant popup reminder during startup to purchase the "pro" version. You are so desperate for money that you rather annoy your users (just like Quicken) by not even offering an option to turn it off! Because of these annoying practices, even if I wanted to consider purchasing the pro version, I'd rather buy a different app. So with the popup reminders, you are just making it worse! I did not pay for this app $16.28 so it can constantly give me a popup to buy the pro version! You should get a job at Quicken. They also really good at annoying the heck out of paying customers. So yeah, SHAME ON YOU!

I don't expect the app to be updated with new features, but please at least update it to be universal binary native to Apple Silicon. We know Rosetta 2 is temporary, and sooner or later Apple will discontinue it, thus making this app unusable.

Maybe silly, but macOS changed their icon format years ago now... why does this app still not have a matching icon? Keeps it out of my dock and makes me forget I even have it daily.

Update 2022: Not even you have a brand new version of Pixelmator that in my opinion is changing the game again, but also you still working with the classic version for classic users too! Most companies ignore these users and continue with your new project and this is something we appreciate! Keep the great work! and please NEVER think to push a subscribe business model for the rest of us! Goodbye CS4, now I'm complete with my new Suite! Pixelmator (instead of Photoshop) iDraw (instead of Illustrator) Flux 4 (Instead of Dreamweaver) Swift Publisher (instead of inDesign) Yep, be an Adobe fan all you want, these apps rocks and that's that!

Great app but constantly crashing on M1 Max 14 inch. Stability is not there in the moment :( please fix soon.

The Classic iteration is greatly superior to the Pro version. You can arrange tools as you need them and it offers multiple monitor support. These professional features are missing from the misnamed "Pro" version.
