I wanted to like this app
I like birdwatching and figured it might be a fun way to learn. Was actually learning some things, but also often just managed to track down a bird by its song and it would fly away giving me no opportunity to learn what it was. I understand real life is like that too, but pretty useless for a teaching app to be like "lol sorry guess you won't find out". Also the UI is awful, controlling scroll is atrocious, getting the viewport just where I want it and then lifting my finger makes it swing wildly, and it takes like 5 seconds for the confirmation dialog to clear from the screen and let you tap something or move somewhere else. Oh yeah and about 20 minutes into the game your next "quest" is: spend money. Instant uninstall since you did not bother to be up front that the free part of the game is just a demo. Oh yeah, and all the dimorphic birds are males in breeding plumage.

1. Use female sexes to identify birds 2. Not enough birds unless you pay for other regions 3. Get more free regions and create regions for other states, South America, Asia, Africa, Europe, Australia, and Antarctica 4. Lots of birds make unique calls, but the songs and calls in the game are repetitive 5. The character (the mentor) should be more genders, not just female. Allow the player to choose their own genders. 6. Need more faq to identify birds. For example, the bird lives in Yellowstone, but where else do they live and when do they come? 7. Save the work! World of Wings I don’t like in-app purchases. Can you fix it?

I am in love with this app, but am sad because I can’t hear any of the bird calls so it’s always a guessing game for me on the audio aspect. I would really love to learn the different bird calls in addition to the visual sight of the birds. I’m not sure if this is an isolated issue or a broad issue, but I have an iPhone 12 mini, and all my other app volume works perfectly fine. Hoping the developers are able to provide some insight. But definitely a game I will be keeping either way!

First of all to start with I think that there should be baby birds I’m not saying that there should be so many baby birds, but I’m just saying maybe there could be like a couple of baby birds like it could be like uncommon to see them and also, I think that there should maybe be an easier way to get the lake I mean like not a really easier way, but I just want there to be an easier way yeah and also otherwise it’s almost the best game ever I mean like there’s so many different varieties of birds to see and you get to see new birds and there are places that you can go and so many cool packs and also there are so many different kinds of birds I just love how many and also first of all, I really really like how there are so many different kinds of birds and yeah so either than that stuff it’s amazing and plus there aren’t very many ads.

i LOVE this game. i am an avid birder in real life, and this game is a nice little game to play when i’m stuck inside. i love the accuracy of the sounds and looks, and it helps to make memorization of calls easy. however, it’s ridiculously hard to earn seeds to pay for new feeders and refills. it takes such a large amount of ids to make enough to do anything with. along with that, I wish there was an option to turn off the commentary of the girl. I just have a more simple “correct or incorrect” answer when you idea bird. Well, it’s not bad, it is just kind of frustrating to have to tap through her dialogue. other than that, i love this game.

The game is impressive, both visuals and sounds. My complaint, like others note, is that it is an expensive game. Also, after a while, it becomes a bit tedious/repetitive to play while waiting for a new species to show up. Also, I’m not even sure it is possible to see all the species without buying all the add ons, which I don’t want to do. Nonetheless, I’ve had fun and others will also.
