VVVVVV is a retro styled 2D platformer by Terry Cavanagh, creator of dozens of free games. You play as the fearless leader of a team of dimension exploring scientists who inadvertently crash, and are separated. The game involves exploring the strange world you've found yourself in, and reuniting your friends. VVVVVV explores one simple game mechanic: you cannot jump - instead, you reverse your own gravity at the press of a button. The game focuses on playing with this mechanic in a variety of interesting ways. The game is designed not to artificially gate your progress. In VVVVVV there are no locks, no power-ups, no switches, nothing to stop you progressing except the challenges themselves.

Worth it!
This game only took me 3 hours to complete, but I find this game well worth $5. It reminds me of old school video games with the graphics and music which it think is adorable. The game runs very smoothly and is definitely replayable. The game gets consistantly harder, but I was rarely actually frustrated with it. It has a cute storyline as well. I love that the map is large, making sure you explore it all to find all of the crew members. I think they could even possibly expand it and add some more members! Overall, I’d agree with all the other reviews telling you to just buy it!
Doesn’t save
Sure it’s a cool game but I am not going to sit here for hours playing this game until I finish , I have 10.9.5 Mavericks and the game doesn’t save . I don’t like starting over and over and over and over. fix this soon or I want my money back. My advice as far as Mac games go is buy a ps4 . If you want to attempt to save the game press enter to go to maps and there’s a toolbar on the bottom with save as one of the choices , but I have done this several times and it doesn’t work , quit the game and restart the save is gone and your back at the beginning .

Challenging and rewarding
Although fairly straightforward, it's an amazing challenge with an amazing soundtrack and amazing level design. A must have for platforming lovers!
This game rocks.
VVVVVV is a very unique platformer which, like most games of its genre, redefines gaming and what it can be. With a simple but touching story, this inventive, challenging (occasionally frustrating) game is definitely worth your money and has a lot of replay value. You won't regret giving a few minutes each day to navigate around its mind-bending, dimension shifting, completely breathtaking levels. Thanks for reading!
WOW
My friend told me about it and when I first heard it, I thought it was gonna be a crap game, but WOW was I corrected. Some might want it because Toby Turner/Tobuscus played this, but no. I saw walkthroughs. And the music is the best part! May be small, but re-playable. This was well worth the five dollars that I used on it. I would reccomend this game to anyone whoes looking for a great platformer, or even, just an awesome game! I'd say this is a great game to play the summer to. BUY IT IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY!!
