The game is fun, although sometimes the strategy can get pretty monotonous. The unfortunate downside however, is that if you want to be able to play it normally, you have to watch ads. A lot of ads. And not quick 15 second ads, but 45 sec-1:30 minute ads that will open the App Store multiple times. There is literally a chance to watch an ad during a game. Sure, you can pay for gold coins, but the rates are exorbitant and whatever you collect would not go far. A clever, if simply game, is ruined by the ad experience. You will spend more time watching ads than playing a level. If you don’t believe me, give it a try. Everything is paywalled or adwalled. Are the developers in debt to the yakuza or something? Developers, become reasonable or find a different job.

Hey, I love this game and it is very fun. I also get why you make us pay for the sandbox gear. But could you make it where we could watch one ad for everything. It would be much better. And you still get a sponsorship so, more money. Also, as the title says about scotsmen, i would like to talk about skins. I love the gordon highlanders and the french colony skins and I would love it if you added a rifleman black-watch skin. If you also add a Turret nest for sandbox mode that would be really great. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS GAME, its a fun game with not that much downsides but the downsides you really need to fix like how the mortars are OP I can’t do anything against them cause then a tank comes out of nowhere and destroys my force also when I’m about to get a trench I have to keep spending money just to blow them pls bring back the German sniper he will be a great counter also you have to bring back the Christmas and Halloween decorations they will be used for fun festive maps. And when’s the USA gonna come out I’m exited for that

Before I tell my ideas, it did not work to send this to the devs. Anyways, 1st idea: Maybe you guys could add dead bodies for sandbox? I mean it would be really cool and this game is a war game. 2nd idea: as updates go on, I would like to see Anti-tank rifles. (New troop for any country. You guys decide) 3rd idea: Another idea for sandbox, I would also like to see more buildings. Like town buildings, so I don’t just have to build ottoman towns. 4th idea: What about a shot gunner solider? I think it would be cool to see a dude with a shotgun kill multiple targets at once. Just to keep in mind, this may be a lot and I know it might be hard to make new stuff. These were just my ideas! I hope you liked ‘em :) To simple bit studios

This game is an example of developers who truly care about the quality of their game. This remake is a substantial upgrade from the original Trench Warfare game and it goes to show just how dedicated the creators are to making a fun game as opposed to making it exclusively for money purposes. Ads are not forced on you and the premium package is a fair priced one time transaction that gives you lots of in game content, all of which can be accessed through optional ads as well. Overall the content of the game is very fun, the design is a huge improvement from the last one, the new characters and weapons make the gameplay way more diverse and entertaining than it already was in the original game, and despite these improvements the ad and transaction system are still just as modest as they were in the original. Some feedback I would have would be: 1. Though not a huge deal, I personally feel like the support weapons are slightly imbalanced at the time of writing this. For example, the British trench clearing barrage and four artillery shot attack seem laughable in comparison to the Ottoman’s creeping barrage and incendiary strike, both of which have very similar prices to the before mentioned British artillery but seem way more powerful. 2. I think the skins look really good in the game, my feedback here is just keep them coming because I think they were a great addition to this game. I think if we could assign multiple skins to one class it would be great, for example the German assault being able to be assigned both the default and stormtrooper skins at the same time, where a random percent (50% let’s just say) decided which of the two skins were applied when you spawned an enemy. This would make the skins even more worth getting as it would make your battlefields look more diverse just like the real war. This is just a personal idea of mine, not a criticism of the game whatsoever because I don’t know much about mobile game programming and idk how difficult this would be to implement. 3. I’m aware the game is nowhere near finished so this is not something I would expect for a while, but with how high quality the newer levels and default skins are for the new countries like the Ottomans and French, I feel like the British levels are bland in comparison. Once again I do understand why that is, I feel like at some point they should be revisited and tweaked a little here and there. They’re still good levels. 4. Finally, one thing that bothers me a slight amount is the hard difficulty system in this game. There are some things I like and some things I don’t. For one, enemy support attacks in hard do in fact make things much harder and I like it. It adds more challenge. However the enemies themselves don’t seem any more difficult, and the main difficulty of hard levels is just having less money, which in my opinion is not a great way to do it. On some levels (like ones where the money increase is only 5) this makes the level almost impossible, and in other levels (like ones where money increases at 50 or 80) the levels feel no different from hard levels. On top of this, the flat 20 rate of gold for hard levels seems really disappointing, as many of these levels are much harder but pay out less than there vanilla difficulty counter parts, and the difference in difficulty between levels is not accounted for. I feel like money for hard levels should be scaled depending on the money given from the classic difficulty version of the level. I think some factors could be thought of to make things harder without the flawed system of starting money, such as increased enemy health or increased enemy spawn rate. I don’t have the answers so I do not expect you to, I simply think the hard difficulty system is a little flawed. Overall I think this game is incredibly fun and is made very well, I can’t wait to see more levels and content be added over time. As someone who played the original Trench Warfare 1917 for multiple years, I really loved seeing what I already considered the best WW1 game on the AppStore get a remake. If you enjoy the WW1 era and need a mobile game to fill your needs, download this one and give it a shot.
