The screen shots and review descriptions don’t do justice to how much fun this is to play. You really have to try it. I wasn’t expecting much when I downloaded this, but it quickly became one of my favorites. Descriptions that use the word “puzzle” are deceiving. Yes there is a tile matching component, but it’s nothing like a match 3 type mechanic and it works beautifully and logically with the unique combat system. Graphics are better than they look in the screen shots, gameplay and progression are tight and well designed, and the surprisingly deep narrative works fine as well. If you like turn based tactical strategy with meaningful upgrade reward choices, this is a game for you. You won’t be disappointed.

As so many other reviewers have noted, this game does so many things right! The story is tight and interesting, the weapons-perks-elements development ladder is nuanced and really changes the gameplay as you go, and it’s just so hard to put down! I really wish they made the second installment!!!
