This dev is a genius. This game was so difficult at first because I’ve never played anything like it. It remained challenging throughout (that’s the point right?) but I felt like I was getting a hang of the concept, which was exciting. Going to go straight to the developer page to download anything else they have.

Puzzles are hidden and obscured for the purpose of requiring ads for the solution. Not “solving” so much as needing to watch an ad to progress. Designed badly on purpose.

When people complain about escape rooms, it’s usually because they can’t solve them. That is not the case here. This game is horrific for many reasons. First of all, the game mechanics are terrible. Every frame is basically a stand still, which makes it hard to see items, especially toward the end. And, having to click in and out so much gave me a motion migraine. Secondly, the clues in this game are not well connected. I solved the up/down arrow box without the globe, the outdoor statue without the arrow, and the drawer “shape-lock” without magnifying the book. But, I’m just supposed to know to go dig in the ground that couldn’t be clicked on before, that the wheel in the basement toggles a ladder, or to memorize where the constellations are at the end because once you start messing with the combinations they won’t reset to their starting positions. It sounds simple once you know what to do, but in the moment it’s weird. Third, there is no story at all… when a game starts out saying “you’re trapped in a room for some reason…” you may want to go ahead and skip it. You have to think about the flow of your game. Putting “complicated” puzzles together is not enough to make a good game. If the mechanics and story were better, I could enjoy difficult puzzles. But as is, it’s not enjoyable at all. I think whoever made this is capable of doing better. They’re clearly intelligent, but have confused complexity with creative intelligence.

This was deliciously difficult. I tried spacing out the days I would play in fear I would finish quickly. Umm, that was not the case lol. Just when I thought I was done… nope. Even the hints aren’t easy and that my friends.. makes this game one of the best escape games I have ever played for free, on the App Store. This developer is a genius. Bravo! 👏👏👏💕 P.S. Everything makes sense. If you’re stuck, you’re just not doing something right.
