Pretty. Needs lot of polish.
Looks and sounds good. Feels like a lot of effort and talent in this production, but needs a lot more work. Collecting energy to gain invincibility mode is cool mechanic. Adds minor depth to game. Option to destroy checkpoints for treasure is cool. Levels designed with different types of secrets and sufficient clues. Art, sound, and voices are cool. Controls overall are not fun. Player accelerates too fast relative to screen size. Feels awkward to control. Always feels like I’m about to run into something I can’t see yet. Both walking and jumping unpleasant and jerky. Gravity feels unpleasant for a platformer. Camera movement when looking up and down too jerky and disorienting. Make it smoother. Especially annoying that crouching to avoid danger will cause camera to jerk downward. Wall clinging too often activates when I just want to jump on top of a ledge. Ladder movement is way too fast. Wall jump upgrade seems to have no effect. Attack animations overall are a bit too fast and appear to lack weight. Intro cutscene moves too fast to read. Need “next” button to progress dialogue. Ranged enemies always attack with fast projectiles from off screen. Feels really cheap. Should decrease enemy range slightly and give sufficient visual cue they are about to fire. Played on iPhone SE1.
Where’s the X button?
I don’t see the x button to use the shield. Like certain pixel games out there jumping feels like “floating” not being precise because of the controls. Please fix the controls.
Bad bugs
It’s a good game but it has some bugs
Bad controls
This game could be really good but the controls are terrible! Please fix them. I’d like to play the game but it’s frustrating.
