Subwords is an exciting mix between a trivia and a word game. Words are split into syllables and you have to put them back together as fast as possible. The words in every level are bound to a certain topic, so you have to know about the topic to solve it. But it's no problem if you aren't that familiar with a specific topic: Simply click the bulb to learn something new! Features: - 45 levels, ranging from animals and fruits to European countries, our solar system or greek mythology etc. - 20 bonus levels built specifically for kids up to an age of 8 years. - Two modes: Classic and Timed! - Fully accessible via VoiceOver and Voice Control - Learn spelling and syllabification of words, plus new vocabulary! - Head control: Play the game by just moving your head! (Requires a device with a TrueDepth camera) - Play in different languages (English, German, Spanish, French, Portuguese and Italian) Links: Twitter: https://twitter.com/subwords Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/subwords Trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8rVZvGn8RFk If you want to influence which topics will be added in the future, then join the official Subwords Discord channel! Nice game. Major flaw
I am enjoying learning the game. It be a challenge. However, there seems to be a bug I’ve encountered in the iPad version. I am not getting a response fairly often when touching various word fragments during timed play. It’s a especially frustrating because the slow reaction means it limits your score. Disappointing. I hope it gets fixed.
well put together and lots of fun BUT
Mostly I play this on my iphone; just today I opened it on my ipad and all the progress made with about twenty categories is nowhere to be found. Irritating. My search for the perfect game carries on.
you can tell how much thought was put into this!
there's a HUGE range of topics, which is always appreciated, but i can really tell how much thought was put into the creation and accessibility of the game. i was having a lot of trouble with the font, and they had enough foresight to add the dyslexic font and high contrast setting, something that many apps don't take the time to do. another thing i love is the range of languages. i'm multilingual and i've surprisingly taken to using this app as some fun casual practice for other languages, and i would LOVE to see their selection of languages continue to expand. i would also love to see some color theme options that you can unlock with stars? just another customization option that can let users choose fun color palettes :)
Good, But Short
This game is pretty fun and addicting. It definitely requires some mental focus. The only complaint I have is that it’s pretty short, unless you make it a goal to replay a bunch of levels to try to beat your high score.
How do I refund
I did not mean to buy this
Perfect for a crowded mind
This is just challenging enough to keep me interested. I can play for 5 minutes or an hour. I love the combination of spelling and trivia- it’s great if you know a little bit more than just a little bit about everything! I wish there were many more levels as I am all out now. ☹️ However, I am now checking out the other games from this dev! Thanks for helping me ease my anxiety on a few sleepless nights!
Fun game for everyone.
There's not much I can say about this game other than I love it. It helps that everyone can play. It's accessible with the native IOS screen reader, so even visually impaired people can play. But even people with full use of their sight should give this game a chance.

Hello! Hope you enjoy the summer as much as I do! This update makes it possible on the iPad to play the game in landscape with the charge port to the left, if the gyro is turned off (which many requested). I also updated to the Game Center iOS14 hub (now in settings in iOS14) and added a little overview where you can see other apps that I built.
