Eliminating a rule yields a better game
Most versions of spider don’t allow empty spots in the Tableau when you are pulling from the Stock. This version does. And I’m glad. That may be part of the rules to of play for Spider, but it’s just an annoyance. Eliminating that rule makes spider a better game.

This game needs modification. Here are the issues that I see. If you have already won the trick, your partner should NOT also play a trump card. That is a waste of trump cards, and a possible loss of the round. And yes, some times, it may be the only card in hand. But not often. If you lead with an “Ace”, the partner should not play a king, and the next play, throw out a 2 or other lower card. Many a time, that has resulted in being set, unnecessarily, and losing the game. For some reason, it seems that the opposing team wins many many more games than “the home team”, which makes me believe, it is programmed that way. Programmers, what say you?

A captivating game requiring levels of ingenuity and strategy. The challenge often gets more difficult as you get into the game. However, it is mostly "solvable" most of the times I play it. Satisfying.
