Please update
When I purchased this in 2020, I expected regular updates to the game library. However, after waiting for a year and half, there’s still no sign of updates
Average
Overpriced. The entire library of games is available free on google still it’s a selling point here. Annotation tools aren’t cool or good. I was hoping for an experience like a smartboard I wanted to have more advanced selection notation.
The best go app - but with one major flaw
Smartgo Kifu has been the best go study app on the Store (along with the fantastic Smartgo Books) but it has not kept up with iOS improvements in one critical way. Downloaded sgf files do not share properly into Smartgo anymore - even from the Files app. I'd strongly recommend that the developer fix this key functionality.
Great!
Good app to practice Baduk as of 2020, especially for complete beginners like me! Not good to learn though. The tutorial is not the easiest to understand without any background knowledge, so learn on Baduk Pop app and YouTube, then use this to practice!
Great!
Best app on iOS to learn Baduk as of 2020, especially for complete beginners like me!
It’s buggy
Some functionality such as “going back” breaks often
Great for Studying, problems with the AI
I love the app for studying games and joseki however I’ve noticed that the AI will consistently miscount points an attribute itself victories instead of losses. Somewhat annoying to play however that’s not what I got this for. It is a phenomenal study resource.
GoGoD game collection with 108,000 professional game records. Add Settings > Move Display > Coordinates as Letters. Various bug fixes.
