PROS: This game has enough variety to hold my attention. It’s surprisingly addictive since there’s nothing to win, and no end; you just play on and on and on with no particular goal. So, what motivates players to keep playing? The gameplay is fast-paced, there are lots of cute sound effects that pop, crackle, and explode. The colorful graphics wiggle, jiggle, and sparkle. It’s mindless fun that doesn’t require much skill or brain-power. CONS: Unlike the ads, this is not a mystery game with clever puzzles to solve. You can chose to play a level in “match three” style or “hidden objects” style, but there are no “puzzles” per se. Also, it can get expensive. Imagine playing a level for several frustrating minutes. You’ve almost won. One more move and you’ll be rewarded with all those satisfying bangs, pops, and bright colors. But, you’re out of moves. In order to keep going, you’ll have to buy “gems” with real money. Do you give up? On one hand, you only need one more move and it’s only a few dollars. On the other hand, you don’t normally spend money on games. But, you could spend a little…just this once. You’ve got the picture. This same scenario happens over and over again. You’re happily playing; you only need one more move…it’s only a few dollars...you’ll spend money just one more time and never again.” The game is written to entice you into spending a little money here, a little more money there, until the dollars add up to a significant amount. Another problem is the lack of instructions. There are many unexplained rules, activities, and “bells and whistles” that detract from gameplay. A good “Help” section would be…ahem…helpful.

Fun but too hard to find everything. Some items are obscure. A bit too frustrating. A scheme to get you to buy extra things in order to play the game. Could be much better. I agree with the above paragraph! Fun while I can play without paying. Frustrating when I get all but one and that means you want people to pay. Better than before. WiOuld be more fun to have a second or even third major story to explore as the main one gets tiresome by the end of the month.
