Take control of a team of deadly specialists and sneak in the shadows between dozens of enemies. Choose your approach when infiltrating mighty castles, snowy mountain monasteries or hidden forest camps. Set traps, poison your opponents or completely avoid enemy contact. The group is composed of very different personalities. Working together as a team seems impossible at first. Yet over the course of many missions, trust is won and friendships are made. The characters develop their own dynamic and each member will have to face their own personal demons. One of the leaders of this team is Hayato, an agile ninja, who clears the way through his enemies silently, with his sword and shuriken. Samurai Mugen prefers a more powerful approach and can defeat more fiends at one time, but thus also forfeiting flexibility. Aiko is a master of camouflage when she distracts enemies disguised as a Geisha. And the street child Yuki places traps and decoys enemies towards their deadly fate. The mysterious marksman Takuma however, relies on his sniper rifle and takes care of the enemies from a distance. The player has to carefully evaluate his options in order to master the challenging missions: how will the characters behave as a team? Which one is best equipped for each task? How can they best master the given missions? Come up with your own ingenious tactics to vanquish enemies and complete missions. BUGGY, KEEPS CRASHING, PLEASE HELP
I am trying to run the game on Mojave and the game keeps crashing when I try to save. Or, the screen will turn weird colors and flicker. The support page does not offer an easy fix. Please provide support.

Running on a 2018 MacBook Pro… OS 10.13, game glitches out during opening sequence and never recovers. A lot of people are reporting this. Like them, I bought the game several months ago and it was great. Then the 2.x updates got pushed and now the game is unplayable. No support from developers. App store shouldn’t be sellling such a glitchy product.

THE GOOD: I got this game a while back around 2017, on a New 2016 Macbook Pro Touch, back then I made it 75% through the game, never finished. But was really fun to play and had a good story. THE NOT SO GOOD: Now, I am back at it but have to start from scratch, though a lot has changed since then and now macOS is 64bit and this game is not and doesnt work with the new update, DO NOT UPDATE!!!. Also I contacted the company they have no intentions of remaking the game in 64bit from what I took from there response they gave me. For such a gorgeous game its really a waste of development they didn't think ahead and make the game 64bit from the beginning. As for the lag other people are having, yes, I can confirm that as well, but that is more a 50/50 line between the game and the actually macbook Pros (2016 to current) they have issues; thermal throttling is one of them. (there are works in place to correct the issues at somepoint) Requests to the Deveopler: • Make the game 64bit! • Fix the performance issues; right from starting a new game, the video pan over the water frames hang/lag, panning over the first level village hangs mild to severe randomly, this happens through the whole game. (Using macOS 10.13.6)
United StatesDon’t buy from the App Store
So apparently the latest version of the game (2.x) can’t be run on a Mac, and you have to use version 1.x. However, the app store doesn’t allow for the game version to be rolled back, and is therefor useless. In contrast Steam does support rolling back to a previous version and is even cited on the Shadow Tactics Support page. This is a known issue and Apple needs to pull this game from the app store until it is fixed. I will be contacting Apple to be refunded the cost and purchase it on Steam instead.

bought the game and found the screen flicering and end up freeze after intro. Still do not have any solution yet. There is an article on internet that mentions the new version doesn’t work with Mac due to engine update. it’s a waste so far. I will keep an eye on it to see whether there is an update.

Im running the game on the newest macbook pro. Normally, my computer has no problems running games of this size. Yet, shadow tactics lags so much for me that it's rendered virtually unplayable. Laptops beware.

Usually when I play a game, after I beat the final mission, I stop. But not this, I love it so much that I have re-played it 3 times. You know, try to get all the archievements. The game is beautiful, gameplay is very nice, and so far, not a single crash. If you like me, like Commasdos, you will love this as well. Can’t wait to play the next Shadow Tactics game.
