Terrific Puzzle Game for Hockey Fans, and More
This isn’t your typical “match 3” game with a lazy skin on it. The developers have mixed matching with a deep hockey experience featuring real NHL players and elements of live action. Highly recommend this title.

You’ve gotta stop with all the cherry pickers and 2x attack. How can you compete against 3 up front? Also, to stack upon that, when they get a shot an I make a save, they end up with full power again. Meanwhile, when I get a shot, I have the same crap energy left. Perfect example of a terrible Gameplay situation, I knock out all 3 guys as a cherry picker shot expires, I make the save, and they all come back full health and in my zone, while I still have less than half energy. That’s the problem. Another gripe I have is, the players take too much gold and/or cards to level up. Even playing almost 1000 games, I still have so far to go leveling up 3 and 4 star characters. As far as PVP, if you make a goal light at the same time you finish your opponent, why are they rewarded with it on the next turn? Regardless of whether you score or not. A few tweaks and this would be an AMAZING game.

The idea is to not leave your opponent something good ( so they can’t shoot) but if you leave them no move the get a clean ice sweep, the player should be rewarded for not leaving them a shot, not punished). Also what about more pucks for winning streaks!

I love this game and I play everyday. But there are a few tweaks that annoy me enough TJ close the game down. Such as when you get a shot and don’t score, their D get all their health back. But when they shoot on you and you make a save, you still are stuck with minimal health. Also Boosted players. It makes it so difficult to even advance forward when the other team has boosted players, especially those that are cherry pickers and 2x power.

This is a solid start, needs some adjustments. Campaign mode needs to be switched to a GM mode ala NHL 20/franchise mode. Need to be able to purchase multiple chest unlocks, bring stuck unlocking a single bronze to make room is frustrating. At a minimum let me ditch a bronze for a better chest. Hat Tricks need to be added, which means expanding how shooting works to favor specific forwards. More abilities need to be added (see Gems of War, MPQ for reference). Time needs to be adjusted so periods reset to Center Ice. Hopefully this gets expanded to a full NHL experience, until then, creating 3 full leagues and look alike teams wold be great. A lot of the core mechanics are solid.

I’ll start with the most important thing - this is designed as a play to win game, but thank the hockey gods this game let’s you watch ads to unlock the “Lockers” with the games currencies inside.You don’t have to wait for turns to play, but you do have to wait to unlock things. Now, not only is this a familiar and fun match 3 game, it has cool gameplay mechanics like shooting the puck and making passes and saves, as well as a roster building mechanic through player cards. It’s wonderful and a great long term game, and as an avid NHL fan I love that this is for the NHLPA, just the players. It’s cool to see real NHL players on make-believe teams. Very fun game for anyone who likes games like Pokémon Shuffle, Puzzles and Dragons etc
