Improve your skills and become a Pinochle pro! Play single or double deck games with three different difficulty levels so you can work your way up to playing like a pro. Pinochle Classic has many settings so you can configure the game to play with whichever rule variations you prefer including: single/double deck, scoring in multiples of ten, game winning score, minimum bid, passing cards count, hints, undo button, and adjustable game play speeds for slow, standard, or fast play. If you are new to the game, Pinochle Classic has an interactive tutorial to teach you how to play by guiding you through a single round of a game. An analyze button can be turned on to help you evaluate your hand and pick a smart bid by simulating thousands of games and showing you likely round score outcomes. A hint button can be turned on to help you see what card the computer Pro player would play in your situation. Extensive statistics are kept for wins/losses, average contract, average meld, and average counters and success rate in making your bid. All cards are dealt randomly to all players, so the difference between the Easy, Standard, and Pro computer players is in how well they remember what cards have been played and how they choose to play the cards they are dealt.
Fun and Frustrating
I love the analysis and hint options but my opponents get hands that give them 40-70 points a hands while I get nines and queens. There is no option I can find to expose the hands.
This could be fun but it’s not
There’s just no competitive play. If I play on easy, we cremate the other team every time. If they take the bid, they go set. On any other setting, I can’t get a hand to save my, um meld. The other team seems to be dealt the better hands, although it’s supposed to be a random deal. Is there meld bidding to your partner? I don’t see it in the instructions. I used to play double pinochle when I was younger, so I’m not a complete newb. Just needs a better algorithm or something.
Great game. My favorite, but it freezes regularly.
I have to delete and reload 1-2 times a week because it freezes. Frustrating. But even with that, it is my favorite game.
Pinochle
App keeps freezing up. Have to delete and reload.
Decent game
Needs a 5 nines no meld rule, Also adds that are supposed to have 5 seconds opt out often make you watch the whole thing
It’s okay
I’ve been playing pinochle for over 40 years. This game is fun to play but general rules are not followed. In tha game my partner will call hearts or clubs and keep a pinochle. If they call trump they will pass trump back to me for kings or queens around. Makes no sense. You would think the developers could correct this. I’ve seen other reviews complaining of the same thing. If you’re going to create a program for a card game you should know the strategies.
Just downloaded this
UPDATE TI’ve had this on my phone for several years now and play multiple times daily. (I’m retired) I’ve seen several reviews requesting a paid version but the developer seems to ignore the requests. Most developers acknowledge their customers with at least a response. I would be willing to pay to remove the advertising because it’s very annoying to remember to put the phone in airplane mode in order to play. ———————___________________ Played one game and I’m sold! I’ve been playing pinochle for over 50 years, and was a bystander before that. The settings allow me to play our traditional family way, not like another app I installed and immediately deleted. I do not agree with the poster who said partner would never take the bid. Based on my very short experience, I would buy this app because there is no need for an advertisement after each hand. Developers listen to your reviewers. Others have asked for the same thing. Okay I’ve been playing quite a bit now and really enjoy the game. I have an issue, though. The cards played by others do not reflect a real game. Yes it follows the rules but, when I led an Ace, my opponent played an ace. In a real game this means he’s out of that suit. However, he went on to play other cards in that suit. This just doesn’t happen IRL. This happened to me twice today by both my partner and an opponent. By the way I never pass cards, didn’t know this was even an official option. Today I’m pretty sure there were two instances where opponent was out of trump and then played a trump. Rule is you must trump.
