After hours of tossing and turning, I knew I wouldn’t be able to sleep tonight. There was something deep within me keeping me awake, weighing down my heart. Food had lost its flavor, every day was just going through the motions. I needed love, unlike anything I’d had before. The men in my circles were dry, bland, and boring, so unlike me and my vivacious and spicy spirit. I rose from my bed, adjusting my thin pajama top and short bottoms to face the moon through my window. I pushed my long auburn hair out of the way of my piercing blue eyes and focused on the moon’s warm glow. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a shooting star whizzing through the sky. As silly as it was, I was desperate. I looked deeply at the star and wished with all my heart that I would find the love I longed for so deeply. The star faded away from my view, carrying my wish with it. All of the sudden, I heard a knock at the door. Who could possibly be knocking this late? I opened the door to the most glorious sight my eyes has ever seen. His four long, muscular legs extended into a wide, powerful torso. His veins rippled under his chestnut coat and I could see his pulse pounding all over his body. His neck filled out up to the most beautiful part, his face. Chiseled jawline, and deep dark eyes that reflected back his soul to me. We locked eyes and in that moment, we locked hearts. Without ever saying anything, we both knew this was perfectly right. I guided him into my home hearing his hooves clobber sexily behind us. I led him to my bedroom, and with a sharp wack of his thick tail, the door slammed behind us. We quickened our pace, he used his powerful frame to slam me against my wall, putting his hooves up, trapping me where I was. We looked into each other’s eyes and we both were filled with passion, lust, and desire. Our lips met and I was transported to another world, it was me and him forever. He pushed me roughly onto my bed, and I knew tonight was going to be magical. The next morning I woke up in the four legs of my lover, happier than I’d ever been in my life. We ran off together and never looked back. Years later, we look back on that night that began it all. We moved away from my home and to a broad open range raising our children Hay-ley, Carrot-line, and of course our pride and joy Neigh-than Jr., named after his father. Our lives are perfect and I would never go back to how it had been before. All thanks to a shooting star, racing through the sky.
