This app is by far the best chess learning app out there. (Both learning in Gameplay and Lessons)It has all the necessary factors to learn, you not only are told what is best you shown why and given the option to either take back your mistake and learn why it was a bad move OR unlike other apps it gives you the opportunity to stay with your mistake and continue the game and be proven it was a mistake. But before you begin playing you can take lessons. And these lessons start from square one ( no pun intended) from the movement of the pieces all the way through opening strategy, closing strategy, different ways to play and much much more. There are few apps I actually renew after my trial. THIS is one game I will. Oh and the Drs voice is very soothing lol. Makes the game very fun. Bravo to the designers! Ty for the awesome game. P.s. chess masters out there..stop complaining it’s too easy it’s a learning game. “Learning” is in the game title.

Overall, I’m satisfied with the app. It’s instructive, helpful, and allows you explore strategies at your own pace. My one critique is: it would be amazing if the app could track your progress on skills learned. So for example, if I just learned about castling and the skill is complete but I play three games and didn’t castle but it was warranted then the learned castling skill should regress. Same thing for pins, checkmates, etc. It’s very easy to learn a skill, practice it, and forget it completely. Since this is a paid app, I don’t think that’s too high of a bar to meet.

Tried the free trial and ended up getting it continued. I knew how the pieces moved in chess but never knew strategy or theory. Took chess up again recently and my game has improved dramatically! The developer is not paying me to say this. It truly is a wonderful app and is helping me become more aware of game board state. The coaching is great and explanations are very easy to digest. I find this app very relaxing and is great for beginners that want to up their game! Cheers and thanks for a wonderful app!

I have been wanting to learn how to play chess since I was a child. Thanks to your app. I can look at the pieces and know how to actually play the game. I haven’t won any games as of yet, but I know with practice I’ll be able to. I have at least been able to end few games in a draw. For a beginner, I think that’s very good! Not only has this gotten me excited, but I’m actually getting addicted to chess! Thank you for an excellent training app!
