Poorly balanced to force microtransactions
I played these games years ago and loved them at the time and recently downloaded them as a sequel is coming out. Even on the easy setting it’s been completely rebalanced to force you to use their microtransactions to beat levels. There doesn’t even seem to be a difference between easy, medium, and hard settings. It definitely wasn’t so impossible to beat the levels before. Well I’m glad I downloaded the old games before wasting money on the new one. Very disappointing to see this kind of greediness from what used to be a very talented gaming studio.

I love this but i do have one beef with it. For whatever reason, you get no gold for units that spawn don’t spawn from the map entrance. I get why you wouldn’t for summoned units from necromancers and stuff, but for example, rottwood forest you have an absolute crapton of enemies crawl outta the swamp, sometimes to the point it becomes all im fighting, but I get nothing for it, and cant upgrade my towers when facing them. Why is that? You get coin for rats and skeletons that spawn from bone piles and trash dumps. Don’t make sense

Even on the easiest mode it gets too difficult to beat the levels at a certain point. The developers are going to respond and say it’s not because you “can play for free” but the difficulty makes it so you have to grind old levels to get diamonds but even using multiple power ups I grinded for made such a marginal difference. I had this downloaded for only a day it was fun at first but after a certain point it just gets ridiculous. Deleted so fast
