I have new macbook air M2 with 16 GB ram but still the game freezes at times. I also play other kingdom rush games and has zero problem. I also struggle with adjusting the screen size. It used to be small window at the beginning and when I changed the resolution, it always open as a full window and can not make it small.

I love the kingdom rush series games but there is a problem with this one. When there are a few enemies on the level, the game slows down. It's not lag or fps drops (the game is really slowing down like slo-mo videos). I know this game hasn't been updated in 5 years, but please release a bug patch to fix this because it really is frustrating with how much time it takes to complete a level because of the slowness effect. I have tried playing on the lowest possible graphics and it does not even help at all!

United StatesUnacceptably slow on Intel MacBook Pro
This game, built on Ironhide's oldest code base and never updated in 4 years, slows to a tiny frame rate and gameplay has enormous lag in the higher levels. This is on a 2017 MacBook Pro with integrated Intel graphics. I've read that it has the same problem on an M1 Mac! The other Kingdom Rush games do not have this problem. Well, Ironhide just released Kingdom Rush Origins for Apple Arcade, which runs just fine on the same Mac, but you have to subscribe to get it. I already bought this version and I would appreciate Ironhide publishing an update for this version's customers.

Been playing the Kingdom Rush games for years now and I really enjoy them. Would be 5 stars but when too many sprites are on the screen we have major slow downs on M1 macs. Sometimes around 8-10fps. For refrence I'm playing on an M1 macbook pro with 16gb ram. Maybe it's still running under Rossetta and needs optimization. Outside of that it's a fantastic game.
