Overlooked gem
I suspect that the tiny rating count for this game (despite the fact that it’s been out for over a year) has a lot to do with the fact that there are zero instructions, so players get frustrated and leave negative reviews, and potential buyers are reluctant to take a chance. That’s a shame, since once you figure out what you’re supposed to be doing—and I do believe you will if you experiment a bit, or check the developer replies to these reviews if you’re really stuck—this is a pleasant, relaxing variation on logic puzzles like Kakuro. Also: after playing twice through what I thought was the entire 90-level game, I just discovered that there’s an entire “hard mode” of 90 more levels, in which the game no longer indicates your progress through the level…evil! At just over a penny per level, it’s a great deal, and highly recommended to logic puzzle fans.
Wonderful Game!
I've seen the negative reviews but thought it was worth a try. The game is pretty self-explanatory if you have Sudoku experience so you can see that the object is summing hexagons. Then, a bit further along, you need to understand the mathematical symbols of '>', '<' and '='. So '<' means 'Less than' so 3 < 5 reads as 3 is less than 5. Similarly '>' means greater than so 5 > 3 reads as 5 is greater than 3. Finally, we all know '=' means equal. I turn off the music so can't really comment on that but I'm enjoying this game very much. Hopefully there will more complete instructions added to the game in the future.
Not much fun to be had.
Looks great. But is difficult to figure out what is going on or what you are supposed to do.
Zero instructions and it takes over
This "game" has no directions, no home page with instructions, nothing. It took over my entire screen (Alt and esc and the other usual ways to minimize the screen were useless. The only way I could get out was by shutting my computer down and rebooting it). The music and visuals are lovely, but I have no idea what I am supposed to be doing with any of it.
Very nice
I am on level 27 and have enjoyed all of them. For the exceptionally low price, I like the background waterfall and swaying palms in addition to the very interesting game play. As I progess I’m starting to see the logic. You find how to complete the smaller chains correctly first, then move on to the more complex, sometimes having to go back and adjust to make them all fit together properly. I like it as a brief interlude to the day, then come back to it another time. Thing is, I like it every time I come back.
Hexalogic
Couldn’t find instructions or anything in English. Waste of money.
Needs options
It needs options to turn off the music and sound effects, and play in a window instead of needing the full screen. This has the makings of a good casual game, but is designed like a full-immersion, full-attention game.
