Stressing me out
This game was really cute at first, but now there’s no telling when the plants are going to die. I spent a bunch of money on seeds, planted them, and came back thirty minutes later and the entire yard was dead. According to the cultivate mode, it was supposed to take between 60 and 240 minutes to grow, so how does that make any sense? I watered the plants and everything. That’s not fair. So instead of this game being soothing and calming like it should be, it’s stressing me out to the point I don’t even want to play it anymore. Can you please fix this issue, the plants shouldn’t be dying so soon. You should at least have 24 hours before the plants die. Who has time to come back every five minutes to check on their plants? What a joke.
golems keep disappearing?
i'm not sure where else to put this.. is this supposed to happen? the second i get the golems to evolve, they reset or disappear. like every week or so. on top of that, the collection book doesn't seem to work. when looking through it multiple times, the sizes collected change, so it's pretty unreliable. i have to save one of each type of plant to see what i've grown. other than that, the game is very cute and fun. the lack of the constant bombardment of ads is refreshing. and i love how realistic the plant breeding is!
IM CRYING
WHOLESOME!!!!!!!!!
I love the game, but the bugs are too bothersome
The game is adorable, and amazingly beautiful, but the bugs are too hard to ignore. As others have mentioned, the problems I’ve been having are my golems de-evolving, losing turnip and crocus golems despite having their sticker/evolving them, not being able to give the golems tasks, as well as shops resetting even though they say they have several hours left till they’re supposed to reset and not being able to get rewards for tasks. I hope the bugs are fixed soon, because I’m not sure I can continue playing at this rate.
This game could be so fun…
I love the style of this game, and it’s such a fun concept, but the bugs are outrageous. I could deal with the glitches for the most part, and was excited to have saved up enough coins to do the expansion. To my dismay, once I got the expansion and planted seeds in my new expanded garden, I realized that when I exited the game, none of my plants on the new plot grew. I came back to a bunch of mushrooms in all of the spots where I put my seeds…this also happens if you leave your garden to go to the shops and come back. So essentially, the new plot is useless and all of the coins spent were wasted. This is on top of the bugs with the daily tasks and golems. I really do love the game and would love to play it, but if the expansion doesn’t work it feels like there’s nothing to work towards. Great concept, but poor execution unfortunately. I hope the bugs can get fixed and I would definitely give it another try!
LOVE THIS GAME
I love this game it is so cute and the graphics are so good and adorable i love all the art! i love that it’s student made and i really can’t wait to see the progression of this game and where it will go! I would give 5/5 stars but I encountered the golem issue of the first day i got the game i unlocked the pumpkin the crocus and the tulip and then i opened the game the next day and had had lost crocus and gotten apple and cotton unlocked, however i had a feeling this would happen as that seems to be the only problem with the game so far! but it doesn’t take away from the game play to me and i check it probably every hour just to see the cute little game that is so peaceful and not shoving and advertisement in your face every 2 seconds. also keep in mind the game out in about may so they are still working on fixing the tiny game play issues and i wouldn’t let the golem problem keep me from playing the game:)
Solid art but too many bugs and QoL issues to be soothing
The art and vibes in this game are polished and on point. The concept and themes are very sweet; I would enjoy playing this everyday, checking in on my plants and chatting with the golems. However, trying to play into the late game is proving pretty stressful. The limited seeds mean there is pretty limited room to experiment with the gene mixing; I noticed the “small” gene seems to be dominant which is frustrating, since I want to see big beautiful fruits and vegetables! The golems are cute but they are very buggy; it takes so much to level them, they appear inconsistently, they de-level, and a QoL issue is that they get in the way when I’m trying to water or plant. I like turnip and spent a lot of time maxing him only to log in today and he’s gone… Completely reset… That made me really sad and honestly I’d rather just kick them all out of my garden now. I’ve accidentally harvested multiple of my trees before they fruited because there’s no clear indicator a plant is ready to harvest, or negative association with harvesting too early; a negative sound effect when I mess up or sparkle on finished plants would help a lot to figure out what I’m doing before I kill all my expensive trees. It’s incredibly difficult to save enough for decorations and when I finally did, my decoration vanished while I was arranging, and has never returned. My intent with this game was to at least reach the expanded field, because I wanted to see if it played better with more space, but I worry I will spend weeks earning it only to log in and see only a basic field again. I know this is a student project and is a really great portfolio piece! If you continue making games though, I suggest working on the development more; a game that plays great with bad art is better than a game that doesn’t play well even with gorgeous art. Edit: I wasn’t able to access my game for a day and my entire orchard died… It’s so hard to earn that much and buy that many fruit seeds and it’s just gone. The punishment for not checking in on an idle game doesn’t need to be so harsh. Sorry, I deleted after this, it was so mean.
