Very addictive puzzler
A very fun game with simple controls. The only button you use is the spacebar, which you use to perform actions that vary from one stage to the next. The game tracks the number of times you hit the spacebar and uses this count to calculate your score. It is both really fun and really frustrating as your game doesn't save if you quit. You have to keep playing until you finish an entire episode (not just a stage) to save your progress. That said, none of the episodes are very long so if you have a while to kill or can pause the game and keep it running in the background while you do other things instead of quitting, this isn't an issue. I failed most of the stages the first time I did them but GOL lets you start the stage over without going back to the beginning of the game, the way some games will (I'm looking at you Impossible Game). The first boss is super hard, though, so be prepared for lots of under-the-breath cursing and shouts of "Gaah, I was so close!" However, I did find that almost all the stages had some sort of pattern you could figure out or were repetitive so you could beat them once you had figured them out. (And for the staircase in 1-19, after you through the switch and go back to the bottom, go up to the second floor until you run into the wall and turn around and then go up again. It'll make sense once you've played the game.) Great graphics, fun story, and easy technique to master. I'd recommend this to anyone who likes games but doesn't necessarily identify as a gamer. I'm loving it.

As with most games in the App Store, there are no instructions nor is there much of a tutorial. I couldn't get beyond level 1-19, because I couldn't figure out how to get the stupid knight to climb the second flight of stairs. Total waste of a buck.

Well worth the price. Very challenging and well made. UPDATE: Apparently the game does not save your progress. You have to start over from the very beginning when you quit the game.
