Soft locked right off the gate
This is a first, tried to play the game and start off with custom stats, but because I don’t have deluxe for some reason I couldn’t start the game after selecting two things so I thought I’d reset the app come to find out it’s soft locked and now I can’t play it at all, unless I fork over four dollars, of course which is awesome basically software hostage holding. Good job, this is a new form of grief that I thought I’d never see, for those that want to give this game a try I’d recommend starting off with random stats. Otherwise you will be soft locked.

The game was great but when I was 45 and I wanted to give a gift to my wife, it kept making me give a gift and I couldn’t age up and I couldn’t do nothing. I had to keep buying the gift and my wealth kept going down and it’s not working. and I don’t want to delete the game because then it’s going to restart me. so if you can, can you please fix it? It would be awesome. Thank you
United StatesHas potential, but needs some polishing
This app has a very solid base and could become great. The art, while simple, is generally pleasant, the writing is nice and descriptive, the life goals provide adequate motivation for repeated playthroughs, the perks provide a sense of progression between lives, and there's plenty of capacity for player freedom and choice. A lot of effort has clearly gone into this. However, the game (or, at least, the current build of it) is quite buggy. Some of these bugs are quite mild (e.g. missing bits of text in some events). Some are more severe, interrupting the game and requiring you to close and reopen the app to fix them. The most severe are game-breaking and can only be fixed by starting a whole new playthrough. It's tough to get too invested in a character when you know that you could suddenly be forced to restart through no fault of your own. Were these bugs to be fixed, this would be a solidly 4 star experience and, with some further refinement to the core gameplay, could easily be a 5 star one. And given how frequently updates are released, I don't doubt that these issues will be resolved soon. Also, if I may make a suggestion: I'm a sucker for queer rep and would appreciate a bit more complexity to the sexuality and gender systems in the game. On the sexuality side, expanding from simply gay and straight to include bisexuality and asexuality would be neat. I do not know how precisely to do this, given the binary, card-based choices the game uses. (Perhaps two separate yes/no choices, one for attraction towards men and the other for attraction towards women?) On the gender side, I'd appreciate the ability to create trans characters - binary trans or nonbinary. Whether as a choice while creating a character, or an event that occurs during the game, or a decision you can manually make in-game. Of course, I don't know how this game works internally, so I have no idea how easy or difficult any of those changes would be to implement and these suggestions are all quite tentative. But hey, if any of this were added, that'd be pretty cool.
United StatesGreat Potential Comes With Great Bugs
Everlife is fun, replayable, and wholesome. The choices you can make for your little character are interesting and dynamic. The game hints at things your character might be interested in, giving you gentle suggestions but not blocking you in. It’s endlessly replayable with so many options and paths you can take. It’s also very cute! The art is so adorable. However, the game in its current state has been riddled with bugs. Replayable? Yes. Only because I haven’t been able to get through one life without encountering a game breaking bug that forces me to start over. Bugs like the same event that replays over and over, not allowing you to progress through the year. Autoselecting ‘continue’ ruining the potential for a good year. And a few more here and there. Happening once? Hey, it happens once in a while! But it has happened to me every playthrough. It’s forced me to put the game down until this issue is fixed. Which again, is a shame, because it’s a fun game with great replayability. I hope these issues are fixed in the near future!

I paid to unlock interactions that the game would not let me do, including custom backstories and vacations. Also all of my children, regardless of gender, grew up to have full beards. I had three daughters, all bearded.

INTERACTIONS
- Interactions have been added for siblings, children and pets!
- Since interactions have become an integral part of the core gameplay loop, more characters will be added in the future.
- The outcomes of many interactions with your children are determined by your parenting skill. However, even “unsuccessful” interactions with your children have a 50% of improving your skill as a parent, so don’t give up!
LOANS
- Need cash? Use the new “Take out loan” Decision to borrow from the bank.
- Choose from 5 loan packages, ranging from +5 to +50 Wealth.
- Loan repayment (plus 30% interest!) is due in 15 years. You can repay your loan early via the “Repay loan” Decision.
COLLEGE TUITION
- Tuition is 10 Wealth, 15 Wealth, or 25 Wealth, depending on the college. Tuition is now listed when you select a college.
- You won’t have to pay college tuition if you are eligible for a scholarship (A or A+ final grade) or your family covers your costs (green Family stat), but you also won’t gain any Wealth in these cases anymore.
MILESTONES & MEMORIES
- Milestones are now Memories! Milestones were too rigid and didn’t always function correctly. Now, Memories are automatically logged during important life events.
- Head to the new Memories app for a chronological view of your life experiences so far.
- All Milestones have been converted to Memories, and there are dozens of completely new Memories as well.
MISC.
- Exotic pets (Fame & Fortune) now have a realistic lifespan and will eventually pass away.
