I absolutely loved this game, paid for the lifetime no-ad access, and worked through all the puzzles in Easy , Hard, and Insane levels many times. Hoping for new puzzles, I updated. Huge mistake. There are no more instantly accessible puzzles sorted by difficulty. You now need to play a Tetris-like game and watch ads (despite having paid for no ads) to earn keys that will open a series of maybe five or six stupidly easy puzzles, and then you’re locked out again. The only alternative I have found are the cumbersome “Detective Stories”, and the one about the high school girls is so poorly written that it’s unintelligible, and therefore, impassable. If you upgrade, you will never again see the types of puzzles or have the add-free access you’re used to. I will never again purchase a game from this developer. What a rip-off!

I’ve been playing the detective stories and they are stuck at 1 day and 23 hrs. Whenever I close the app it doesn’t save my progress it just starts me over. Which is a bummer because it’s drawing me away from playing the game.

The good: Very much enjoyed this game and wish the Cases would be updated!! Those are actually challenging and enjoyable. The key puzzles are fun for awhile. You can pretty much free-play a …Tetris-type game where instead of matching falling squares, you’re building complete square sets to earn keys and unlock a level. The stories themselves are actually cute. I enjoyed reading the silly puzzle themes and clues, and the case stories/dialogues themselves. The bad: Playthrough isn’t high because there are only 2 full games to get through. I’ll open it every few weeks to be reminded i need keys for the mini-levels and then give it 10mins before i get tired of that and close the app. To play mini levels, you have to earn keys. And good lord do you have to earn a lot of keys. It’s absurd! When you do manage to hit your key quota, you get a total of like… 3 mini logic puzzles, which, when you find your flow during gameplay, is incredibly frustrating when you’re suddenly gatekept. The worst: I paid for the ad-free experience… but I still get ads? It was 4.99 or something for ad-free and I was desperate for freedom from the near-constant ad experience because i enjoyed playing the game so much! Booo!
