Not as advertised
I purchase AreoFly7 based on the discription here and on the developers web site. I installed it on a 2011 mac running 10.10.6 with 16 meg of memory and a AMD Radeon HD 6750D graphics card. The program would freeze and only load one scene with more than the stationary view. The developer told me the graphics card could not handle the program and I could request refund from the app store. I wanted to still teach the grand kids how to fly without trashing models so I purchased a used Mac mini with the Intel 4000 card with 1 gig of memory as reccomended, Quad core i7 running osx 10.15.6. I found out the RC7 version does not have the features advertised. The developer started answering my emails in German so I had to translate. The best part is if I had an older version on windows I could upgrade to Pro for $24 but on the Mac its $60 and I don’t know if it will even run with the features such as scalability, multiple veiws and the games. Dont purchase this program unless yup are on a windows machine

First of all, I bought version 7 and then realized that version 8 was out, so I sent them a message through their website to see if I could get a refund on 7 so i could buy 8. I did not ever receive a response. Bad customer service apparently. As for the simulator, its ok but not great. It is the best simulator for a mac, but if you have the option of playing on either a mac or windows, then there are much better options like Real Flight. Real Flight is hands down the best sim, but its not available on mac. Aerofly works ok on my mac, but my biggest complaint is it wont save the calibration of my transmitter. I have to re-calibrate every time I open the sim. If I had the option to do over, I would not buy again.

I downloaded Aerofly 7 over a year ago and was pleased with the results of doing so. I'm kinda one of those guys that has to "do" to learn new things. I can honestly say this app helped me fly 3D better. Graphics are good and the only complaint I had was I'd like to have recieved more planes.

I spent 2 weeks wasting my time with USB to Mono adapters and trying to get a cheaper solution to work with free simulators running under VMware and Windows 7. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. Get aerofly for Mac and buy the $40 Spektrum Wireless USB adapter. It's plug and play on macOS and it just works !! I am using a Spektrum DXe RC with it. So to summarize... Aerofly RC 7 Spektrum WS1000 Spektrum RC (like a DXe...).

I have evaluated most all the computer flight sims avalable. Of course, most are PC only. So it is great that my favorate also has a Mac version. The graphics and physics model are top notch. If you fly RC or want to get an idea of what it is like, this is a must buy.

My old simulator for my windows 7 stopped working after 3 years. Since I just bought a MacBook Air, I thought I would purchase this simulator. Installed it, works great, very fun, and very happy with the simulator. My problem is when I run this simulator, my laptop gets REALLY, REALLY HOT. The battery will go from full to system shutdown in one hour. Without running this program, I can work on my laptop and run a boat load of apps literally all day long. My MacBoor Air laptop only gets hot and burns the battery when I use this app. At this point, I have to decide whether I will take the chance to fry my new $1000 laptop to run this $40 simulator. Any reply or suggestion from the manufacturer would be appreciated. Would love to use this app some more if I could be assured it will not fry my laptop.

I’ve had this sim for about a year and a half, and I love it. For airplanes and single-rotor helicopters, this is excellent! I mostly learned to fly on this app then applied those strategies to real RC aircraft. The physics and graphics are outstanding and realistic. I’m using this on a MacBook (2014 small case) with an Ikarus controller. My only complaint (sort of) is that I would like more quadcopters.
