Terrific gameplay and constant crashes
I keep buying whatever Glitch Games does, because they really do make some of the most delightful point-and-click adventures on the market. The only downside is that most of their their games (whether standalone or Steam-based) crash constantly, at least on the MacOS platform, and I do mean constantly. I'm less than 15 minutes into this one, and I've already had to reboot my entire MacBook Pro (which is reasonably high-end and running the latest OS) three times. In the meantime, the in-game camera will take only blank white photos for me, so I'm forced to use a real phone camera to fill in for that bit of basic game functionality. For $5, I find that I can put up with the inconveniences, but I have to hope that GG will someday fix whatever makes their game engine and MacOS really not like each other.
New Glitch splashscreen added plus other small fixes and improvements. If you've enjoyed A Short Tale please consider leaving a review, they really help!
