Best cocktail app I’ve found
I’ve tried a number of cocktail apps and like this one best. UI is clean and intuitive, and I’ve discovered numerous new drinks I can make with what I have on hand. Each recipe also comes with a little bit of info on its history and source, which I really appreciate. I wish you could add notes to a recipe or add cocktails not currently in the app, and it looks the dev is working on those features. Cheers!
My Favorite Cocktail Recipe App
I’ve been using this app for two years ago. I got into mixology during the pandemic, and got my mixology certification. This app has a great interface, a fantastic selection of popular AND obscure cocktails, as well as fun history and background on most of the drinks. If i happen to have a grapefruit in the fridge, I’ll select it in the ingredient menu and every cocktail I can make using what I have in stock centered around the grapefruit shows up. Amazing. Really looking forward to the updates soon regarding saving, sharing, and submitting custom recipes! The developers are incredibly active and involved, and they respond quickly to questions. 5/5
Not impressed
I’ve had this app for a couple weeks based on the reviews and have already searched for their version of two different cocktails. No results. And yes, I downloaded the latest drinks. Unfortunately the drinks I searched are traditional cocktails that have been in existence for over a century.
Needs work
I dislike the generic ingredients although I understand why it’s done that way. Just wish I could edit them to add what I actually have. I like that you can mark cocktails as favorites but without a way to organize them it’s not as useful as it could be. The look of the app is very nice, especially the individual cocktail pages. There’s no way I can see to search for cocktails by a specific ingredient which makes the app pretty useless. Chat GPT does a better job of organizing my inventory and allowing me to add everything I have, and suggesting cocktails based on any ingredient(s) I ask about.
Love it. Here’s a suggestion
The app is great, I’m really happy with it. I do wish there were a more expanded list of cocktails and I wish there was a way to search by which ingredient I wanted to work with. The app is pretty great though. I also wish there was a way to add custom drinks in you’re own personal menu.
Missing Ingredients
Still a very good app, but compared to the iOS version, it's missing several ingredients. Walnut liqueur and bitters are notably absent. Also, it would be nice to be able to specify a couple ingredients and see the list of drinks you can make instead of all the drinks you can make.
Love the simplicity, needs social features
Suggested improvements: 1) Functionality to export “drinks you can make” as a menu for party guests. 2) Multiple “libraries”, named such as “Cassie’s home bar”, etc. 3) Collaborative “libraries”, so party guests can contribute missing ingredients. 4) Search for cocktails by ingredient

- New drinks are now displayed in the Drinks tab, instead of hiding away in Settings. - Mobile users now see the ingredients they own in the new Library tab. - Begone, awkward Welcome screen! - The Recommended Ingredients list now no longer updates itself until you tell it to, so you don’t lose an item you were about to check off. - Umlauts no longer blow up the Ingredient database. - Typography and UI size and contrast improved. - Drink recipes on mobile devices now show the same ingredient shelf that tablet users see.
