The Alabama Alcoholic Beverage Control Board’s mobile application improves customer access to available products in its stores. The mobile application will allow customers (ages 21 and older) to quickly find products in the store(s) most convenient to them. App users can search for products by category, name, price, bottle size, user ratings, and availability by store. Additionally, users may opt to create a user profile where they can save their favorite items and stores, as well as to make private notes on each individual product. The app displays directions to ABC store(s) from their current location through the primary map application installed on their device. The app also provides a news area where upcoming events such as barrel releases and other current information can be found.
A little buggy, but works.
News tab hyperlinks don’t work after clicking on them once. Product quality aren’t always accurate. Needs work but the app is appreciated nonetheless.
Just like the brick store limited availability
Despite locating certain alcohols the ABC stores here in Alabama are so far behind other States stores when it comes to availabilities and selections. Looks like the northern section of the States has more options to choose from than the southern half of the State. Too bad no ABC stores can ship to homes. Retracting my first post above. Yes the stores are small and there are few choices but I can locate certain alcohols within miles of my location buy them at other stores. The prices are a fraction higher than other ABC State stores. In the end I can enjoy hunting…thank you AL BOSS.
Nearly useless
Searching crashes the app, finding a particular store crashes the app, creating a favorite list is great, until you try to get to it again and then the app crashes.
Good idea. App needs work.
I like to browse inventory before heading to the store, but trying to access favorite spirits crashes the app, so it’s not nearly as useful and convenient in-store as it should be. Also, the app will sometimes report inventory at a store that isn’t there, but might show up a week or two later. Some issues with price discrepancies compared to shelf labels, but so far I’ve gotten the lower app price at the register. Once you’ve worked out the basic functionality, you might consider adding the ability to purchase online for store pick up.
Finds the stuff you can’t find
Easily lets you locate the rare or special releases with a limited supply. Even tells you how many are in stock. Also used it to find some brands I didn’t think were carried in Alabama.
First issue
When downloaded from the App Store, it can’t be found anywhere on iPhone. Don’t want to open the App Store to have to locate the pp just to open it. 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
Added the ability to call stores from the store details page. Fixed some bugs in how the UI worked with favorites.
